If souths can learn to back up there forward pack they will destroy the Merge, too many times this year they get the linebreak only for the front rower to have to try to go the whole way himself as no one is there to pass to.

GI should help with that now with the origin period over.

If Souths can't win this game, give up.

Dragons are playing their reserve grade team practically.

They are getting a lot of their quality players back.

It clearly isn't their reserve grade team anymore.

Farrell, Kiti Glymin, Nabuli, Dan Hunt and O'Brien aren't big losses imo. Merrin is a big loss but so is Issac for us.

Benji, Dugan, Frizell, Thompson are back this week which are big ins and possibly De Belin as well.

That is half their squad out, again if you can't beat them you will be lucky to make the 8...and you aint helping yourself by picking Ben Lowe...seriously the Todd Lowrie of Souths, absolute plodder:lol:

Have a look at their named team for this match, I think it is a strong line up.

Line up will be ok, but a few will be underdone.
Gonna be a tough night at the office.

It is stronger than last week (not saying much there) but come on they are still missing 5+ players, basically their entire bench.

The forwards are solid,

Ah Mau
Rein
Creagh
Thompson (fringe origin player)
Frizell (fringe origin player)
Cooper (makes lots of metres)

Matthews (hits very hard in defence and can force errors)
Rose (can make a few very strong hit ups in a 10 minute burst)
Marketo
Lestrange

De Belin if ok will come onto the bench and make them even stronger.

Dan Hunt is past it, Nabuli and Farrell make errors anyway and are dodgy in defence and Kity Glymin has only played 1 first grade match I think.

DeBelin will be underdone, as he has just recovered from a golden staph infection. TBH I'd be surprised if he plays.

Friz and Thommo will be lacking a bit of match fitness too.

That being said, I'd like to think the turnaround for us will start here.

Saints by 6.

Agree with above post, but I think Inglass will torture our edge defense which has been below par recently.
Souffs by 8 weighing up squads & recent form.

Cheers, really looking forward to playing the Saints.

Locky is right, they will have players underdone but we are also not shooting the lights out.

I expect a tight result either way.

No problems.

It was bottle who said they'll be underdone.

Most reckon Souths will win comfortably well I disagree, will be tight as you say whoever wins.

Im tipping a draw. Best chance of the round for one and both sides would be very happy with that result

DUE to the surface of the SCG being apparently a concern after recent rain, the NYC U20s match will now be played next door at Allianz (same time 5:15pm).

SCG gates now open at 6pm.
