Forget about the 8, we need a couple of wins to ensure we don't get the spoon and this game is actually winnable. The Eels aren't as threatening in attack without Sandow. Norman's return will boost them but in Darwin I can see us getting up.

You really have to ask yourself ...how smart are the Eels. This is a local Derby and taking it to bloody Darwin of all places. Why not one with the QLD teams?

Well, when you consider the following;

* We've apparently been paying Will Hoppa 800K a year for the last 2 years
* We had Sandow chewing up 550K for 4 years
* We're 1 year in to 4 year deal with Watmong
* We've got another old crock past his used by date in Beau Scott coming next year
* We prepared a contract for Keiran Foran which stipulated he could walk away at any time of his choice and we'd pay him a million bananas to do so
* We've been cheating the cap for years apparently and have 2 wooden spoons, maybe 3 by the end of this season, and a 15th place to show for it

I would admit we could probably stand to do things a little better at our club.... starting by not taking local derby's to grounds closer to East Timor than the western suburbs of Sydney!

The NRL put it to Darwin. We wanted to take Melbourne, New Zealand, or the Sharks to this game but the NRL said Penrith.

Don't want any penrith fans to defecate on our seats

So much for the Battle for hearts and minds of Western Sydney? Why not move the local derby to NT?!

I have to know the reasoning for this. It's going to keep me up at night for pure geniusation.

What on Earth could the logic be?

The motivations of the Eels front office can indeed be befuddling at times.....

Should have moved this to Penrith, where it would have got 18,000.

Tupou Sopoaga and Ben Murdoch-Masila, originally named in NSW Cup apparently have both travelled to Darwin.

all these in the know tipsters were predicting a high scoring game, I just can't see how that Parramatta side is going to create more than 20 points
