2nd half around 7 minutes. The game was still ours. Maloney gets crunched 3 times in 2 minutes.he was gone. Our D line was gone. next 10 minutes line breaks & trys by dragons.
Then, we have the Beale knock on, after a comprehensive attacking defensive set lead by pryor that put us back on top in the match. Game done.
Flanno. jimmy needed to come off, he needed 10 mins to get his shyte together.
Gerard need sto go to bench. That drop, knock on or not, was unforgiveable after the 5 tackle effort. I dont care what you say, he needs to be dropped for it.
Ricky leutele. That run, is what we need & what we are missing. he has drive.Drive we are missing.
Holmes was missing again. Taking his tally to 23 times missing in games this year. FFS bring Gagan in ASAP & start bombing the corners for him.

More than happy to bring in Leutele for Beale but Gagan for Val...umm no. I'm not a Val fanboy but it sounds like you might be gagging for Gagan!

As for Gagan, he came in to first grade at Sharks &made immediate impact & was solid. Proved that he goes better with better company.

Don't believe Val is on anything like 400k presently...but will ultimately be on plenty more than that but probably not as a winger. For the record...players like Val put bums on seats and attract sponsors so at the end of the day I'd say he's very good for business. Quite a fan of Gagan by the way but appears to be very fragile unfortunately.

Beale is not a winger & should never be there, I thought that was obvious about 8 weeks ago.

Leutele lost his spot when he got injured. His catch for his try was excellent, no way Beale catches that & gets over.

Although I think val is a bit overrated he is still probably the best winger at the club outside of Feki
To give him his due he made plenty of hard work runs this week

Could be because he grew up playing centre, whereas more seasoned wingers know that a big option is cutting back inside to avoid the sideline and to change the angle of the attack causing dramas for the defence...

In my opinion Bird has been pretty average this season. I think he's still reading the stories about him from last season. Probably has a scrapbook full of them.

-I actually thought he tried his hardest to get into the game. He was millimetres away from breaking them open in the middle a couple of times.
- Feki is a terrible finisher. If he cant use his human fridge body to bump off a cover defender he has no plan B. He never gets his legs in the air and those diving finishes that are standard practice for most wingers are not part of his arsenal. He's scored like one try in his whole career off a bomb. Limited player.
- Bird is just rank at the moment. He's not shit, he's just playing within himself. He's a flat track bully. Reads his own hype. Getting selected for origin was the worst thing that could have happened. Hope like hell he is motivated to win a grand final. His first contact in D would have to be the worst in the squad by a mile at the moment.
- On your OP I can't think of a single occasion where a half has been subbed for 10 mins to get his breath back. Not JT, Cronk, Hunt etc etc who get regularly hammered in D. Part of the halves role is to suck up the attention. Lewie has to do a better job of protecting him from the inside. That's what he is there for.
- I heard from within the squad there are a few players with their heads in the clouds. Looking forward to the finals and these final four games are seen as a weird vacuum. Hopefully that was the kick in the arse we need because you cant just flick a switch and get it back.
