yeah I forgot about that?I just will never understand why it's legal to tackle an attacking player mid-air. If it's dangerous for the defender, it's dangerous for the attacker.

It is still dangerous but not as much generally. A defender in air is probably being tackled by players in motion while an attacker is more likely to be tackled by someone standing their ground, beyond that it is purely tactical why tackling an attacker is allowed.
