Andrew Johns and Brad Fittler found him working in a hotel in Fiji, he played reserves At Penrith for 2 years and got a contract with Dragons. With George Jennings, Robert Jennings and Waqa Blake waiting for spots in first grade, his odds were pretty unlikely at playing for Penrith.
