Not confident. From what I've heard/read we'll be a little underdone and the Dogs had our measure last time. If the new ruck penalties are enforced we'll have a better chance.

Bit of a blockbuster here to start the year. The Riff will be looking for a bit of revenge whilst the Dogs will no doubt be looking to go one step further. Be a great game you would think, going for the Dog in a nail biter.

Panthers 22

Yeah I expect Panthers to start the year slowly. Trials were disappointing and there's talk we will start the year with players not quiet up tp pace.I think it will take 3 or 4 games to get everyone up to speed

I'll go with the Dogs.

This will be an interesting year for Penrith. They overachieved a bit last year taking advantage of a general poor standard of competition. It'll be interesting to see whether they keep improving or they struggle if more teams perform well this year.

I still think they'll go well this year but I think the Dogs might be a bit too good.

Bulldogs got dis.

Moylan will be forgotten about after a 10/10 performance by Lichaa. Cameron Smith might as well hand over his Australian jersey now

Dogs, I expect us to be underdone.

That said if the Refs are serious about speeding up the ruck (making a show of it for the first handful of rounds before slacking off) we should have their number. And blokes like Peachy and Segs might run rings around the big boppers.

How many big minute forwards to the Panthers have?

Bulldogs biggest defence against the new ruck interpretations is that they have Jackson, Graham and Tolman all capable of playing big minutes (T-Rex too but that is because he normally does nothing). That means they can rotate the other forwards fairly regularly to stop them getting fatigued.

Hopefully with Lichaa their attack will be a bit quicker too

If he starts now he might be done in time for the 2016 season. Then he just needs a dickhead best mate and some cruisers and the rest takes care of itself.

I'm sure I saw the outline of a big chest tat on Matt during the All Stars halftime break.
As far as behaviour goes, I like to think we have a genuine no-dickheads policy. Time will tell.

Not sure which team they will favor really. Dogs have big boys who other teams won't be able to hold down, which means with our faster hooker, should be able to take advantage of the new ruck penalities much better. That said, Panthers may be able to take advantage of tired forwards for the Dogs towards the end of halves who had to get off players quicker.

Be interesting match to watch, hopefully by then having seen a few games, it will be an easier decision on who should win. I still think big men will have there say.
