Origin 1 1995. Unless you're just referring to nrl games

Premiership games, yes but its moot now.

The game I was thinking of was North Sydney 9 (4 penalty goals 1 fg) St George 2 (1 pg) Round 10 1993 at Kogarah.

That was the only one that year but there were a few in 1992, including the semi-final when St George beat Newcastle 3-2.

Low scoring games appear to be making a comeback this year.

Coaching and talent. Both are rubbish.

Tedesco
Farah
Woods
Taupau
Simona

5 guys are above-average. Not like it matters, JT can't use them properly. The rest are plodders-mediocre.

Tigers have to be the worst around in choosing a decent coach, so much talent out there jobless and they come up with Taylor, laugh fest.

It's just not practical in this day and age of TV scrutiny.

People don't like the ref having to make a call on the try at the moment.

The real issue is the Gus Gould's of the world hammering the viewers about a decision that the ref may have got wrong on the run. (even though sometimes the call is 100% correct)

It ticks me off to then go to the VR (who can't call on the incorrect play the ball) to give a try.

It should be all or nothing for the VR and personally I'd prefer nothing. (With tv only showing 1 replay of any incident)

The Tigers halves are horrendously overrated. Very, very average park footballers at this stage of their careers. I think the Tigers need to have these blokes playing NSW Cup to develop their games, at the moment all thats happening is their confidence is being shattered and they're being physically overpowered - their defence collectively is EASILY the worst halves defensive pairing in the comp and its costing the Tigers game in game out.

I mostly agree but the worrying thing was their D wasn't the problem tonight. Both Moses and Brooks got their bodies in the way tonight, and even made a couple 1-1 stops.

But they're not picked on their D anyway so its a massive problem when they can't help conjure up a single point against an Origin ravaged roster. Won't get many better chances to chalk up a win than that.

Obviously ive got my Cowboys jersey on as i type this but i really didnt think it was a bad game to watch at all. Either team couldve won it right up until the last couple of minutes, it was a massive arm wrestle and both teams defended well (obviously that helps when neither team attacks well).

The Cows had nothing to lose tonight, away from home/missing both halves and both props/not desperate for a win considering where we sit on the ladder at the moment. We couldve just shown up and turned belly up if we wanted to. The Tigers on the other hand had to win that game, no excuses they needed to get those two points badly and they wont get a better chance at toppling a heavily depleted team than they had tonight, fairly untouched by Origin (when you consider how shit Farah is this year, his absence probably helped)

Im stoked with the win because it was one we shouldve lost, all things considered.

Absolutely no excuses. To lose to a team without their halves and starting front rowers is inexusable. However the tigers were also missing 4 of their usual starting 13 and lost our 1 strike outside back before halftime.

As said even considering that we should have won and cowboys fans deserve to be extemely proud and happy with the win. Just don't think you can say one team was depleted and the other not.

I didnt say the Tigers weren't depleted too, but at the start of this very thread there were Tigers fans saying Farah's absence was a positive for them, not a loss, he's in terrible form. Woods is a loss definitely, however he's not half the player of a J Tamou or a M Scott, their combined loss outweighs Woods tenfold.

And if youre gonna count Galloway and Nofo missing from your starting side then im gonna add Moga and Bolton to our missing troops.

The thing that amazed me in the last 10 minutes was the Tigpies' cbf attitude. The game was there to be won, and they were running at quarter-pace, didn't bother stopping the clock by packing a scrum, didn't try anything creative, didn't look like they cared about the result at all. It looked like 13 Adam Blairs out there.

Farah is in terrible form and if he was replaced with an actual hooker it wouldn't have been too bad. I believe Taylor irred greatly in not picking cherrington to replace him. Halatau has never, ever been a hooker. His passing game is shocking and he has no kicking game. Farah would have been a million times better then him. That's not the cowboys fault, purely on Taylor and the tigers. Opportunity missed.

This isn't really the point but are you seriously saying woods isn't half the player of Tamou?!?!

The other issue is the leadership and experience lost for the tigers. Without the mentioned guys there we had 3 players over 23 playing tonight. Huge losses in that respect.

Like I said mate full power to the cowboys and truth be known I hope they win the Comp this year.

just saw taylors presser.
id swear he's going for tony abbotts job with that performance

What's frustrating is when we throw it around a bit we actually looked potent. We had a few near misses tonight when we played a bit of football, he just doesn't want to do it. Brooks, Moses and Tedesco are all off the cuff players, and yet we are playing a game where we are trying to beat teams 12-6. Yeah, grinding the win out worked against Parra, but against a good team it won't work. I'll take a loss like the Canberra game where we played football but shot ourselves in the foot over tonight's game where we lacked any sort of creativity for most of the game.

One of the disappointing things for me was the lack of a crowd considering it was the 2005 anniversary game. If you cant turn up and celebrate such a great milestone and give the players of that era a massive bit of kudos as they walk around that ground than f$&@ me. What does the future hold for this club? Serious question.

The game ended up being woeful but the punters aren't to know that before hand.
