Probably could've scored a play or two earlier if Thompson had offloaded, but props to him for being patient and not pushing it.
Will take the win as unconvincing as it was. Warriors always looked like winning but never pulled away like they probably should have. Felt the intensity wasn't there from them for the most part.
Knights had half a team, fought hard, but too many changes was never going to allow them to gain any fluid attack.
They were always going to put in a better effort are the Broncos game and criticism after it so I am a little pleased that for the most part we played smart football and didn't get carried away looking for shortcuts to stay on top.
Yep, rusty and didn't really get out of third gear, yet the only time I really got nervous was in the last minute when the Knights were in last ditch desperation mode. The whole game felt like we were doing just enough to keep ourselves ahead.
Likewise. That Uate try at the end was very annoying to the heart.
The sitter SJ missed on the Matulino try didn't help. I think 22-8 as opposed to 20-8 may have been enough to crack them a little, but instead it always kept them close and they kept coming.
