I thought the Panthers played below par going by last weeks effort and I expected them to really pile on the points.

But,against the raining premiers,a win is a win I guess.

Loved how Glen Stuart tried his hardest in trying to jack-up Cartwright.

Stewart and Dallin were going at it all night too, Dallin certainly doesnt back down either it was good to watch.

Fans also have to be mindful that when a team plays the reigning premiers, they step up a few notches.

And yes,Souths might have had Ingliss out,but that excuse far well short of the number of troops that we would have loved to out there.

Yea betcats,I noticed that as well.

Notice when DWZ took the ball up hard in the 2nd half and Stewart whinced? I reckon Stewart's arm will be a tad sore for a while.:D

Yeah if our goal kicking wasn't shit it's a blowout. Scoreline flattered Bunnies. A bit of consistency in the line up and Panthers are a threat. But the amazing part was outplaying a bigger and.more fancied pack so easily.

We have used about 4 goalkickers the last 2 weeks bit of a concern. Sowar tweaked his glute pre game hopefully hes ok.

He took a hitup straight at stewart and knocked him down there at one point; he runs hard

Who didn't play that you would of had out there instead besides Moylan?

Lol and this is by far the best we've had it all year.. Luckily now the injuries are in positions where we have pretty good depth rather than the halves.

Was it ever any doubt the minute plodders like Joel Reddy somehow make a first grade side!

My TAB account says thank you.

Panthers are missing Segeyaro, Kite, Idris, Moylan, Mansour and then Jennings. 5 out of those guys are walk up starts if fit.

Don't think you can count Idris when he had no intention of playing again.

Souths were horrendous tonight, it's games like that which make you wonder whether teams actually want to mount a genuine premiership defence or just rest on last year's achievements.

Idris would be our first picked with his form this season. He's a far better centre than Yeo who always does a solid job for us.

Full strength we run out:
1. Moylan - injured
2. Mansour - injured
3. Idris - injured
4. Whare
5. DWZ
6. Soward
7. Wallace
8. Plum
9. Segeyaro - injured
10. RCG
11. Yeo
12. Cartwright
13. Taylor

14. Brown
15. Latimore
16. Mckendry
17. Peachey

Kite i think would have lost his spot by now if fit. Those other 4 players would ge a run at just about any club. 3 of our 5 backs injured and we still looked more cohesive in attack simply through fielding a largely unchanged team.

Panthers also came off a 5 day turnaround.

Souths were good but when the Panthers are on their game, they're tough to beat. To think they still have players to come back including Moylan (IMO their best player). The cowboys & broncos will have some competition come the finals.

For now though, let us all believe that Souths played terribly. That way, the Penrith fans won't be filled with false hope and the rest of the comp can sleep easy ;-)
