Don't think you can count Idris when he had no intention of playing again.

Souths were horrendous tonight, it's games like that which make you wonder whether teams actually want to mount a genuine premiership defence or just rest on last year's achievements.

I usually don't rate Idris, but he's been pretty damn good this season prior to his injury. Kite is a big question whether he'd make the side.

It's really irrelevant though, I was just replying to a stupid post implying that Panthers were only missing one player... The reality is they are probably the worst hit team with injuries this year, they're just starting to hit their stride and make it irrelevant though. They're a major threat if they make the finals with some of their players due to return.

That was paper talk. Idris has been training the house down. It's possible he'll play again this year but if not next year for sure.

I only consider Moylan, Mansour and Idris as improvements that are injured, and Idris and Mansour are far less important when our forwards play so well.

If people think we were any good last night they're clearly deluded. Only decent aspect of our game was our online defence. Penrith played well and only things that prevented them from scoring more points tries was their handling. Is it the Panthers at their best? No, but its up there. With Mansour Idris and Moylan we lose by 20+. Bryce Cartwright had his best game in NRL from what i've seen and will be playing rep soon.

Classic Souths giving lower placed teams no respect and getting done, so frustrating when we should be winning these games.

For now though, let us all believe that Souths played terribly. That way, the Penrith fans won't be filled with false hope and the rest of the comp can sleep easy ;-)

They played below par because we didn't let them play to their potential.

Supporters in the Souths forum are pathetically trying to draw a positive from this loss.If only they could be more gracious.
