I reckon Simmons and DWZ will play.

There has been talk around that they'll play.

If DWZ plays W. Smith is out of the team.

If Simmons plays R. Jennings is out of the team.

Possible Penrith backline is:

DWZ
Simmons
Blake
Yeo
Mansour

That looks good to me.
If DWZ doesn't play and Mansour is a late withdrawal than our entire backline is out. Even that backline has a shit centre pairing. Defence will be non existent. The wingers will get poor quality ball.

Especially with ISAAC john or Will Smith in the halves.

Souffs will win by 40. And so they should.

I feel for Penrith fans. We have had, touch wood, a good run with injuries. But it'd be incredibly frustrating as a fan if we had to endure the sort of injury toll Penrith have.

I still believe they're a halfback and two power forwards away from winning the comp anyway. But they still would have been a top 6 and maybe a top 4 side if they had a good run with injuries like us or the Cowboys.

It's the one thing largely out of your control. Which makes it all the more frustrating.

But DWZ probably not returning this week.

For Souths Gray is looking likely to be a late inclusion for Reddy.

Late mail and rumors around us tend to be wrong often.

It would be crazy to bring DWZ back early. You don't risk injuries that severe. It's not a simple thumb or toe injury. It could become life threatening easily.

Honestly until our side runs on the field I won't be confident of any late changes.

Young Penrith Panthers back Dallin Watene-Zelezniak has been rushed to hospital with his second collapsed lung in three weeks.
Watene-Zelezniak will miss the rest of the season, as he is set to undergo an operation in the next 24 hours.
However, the injury is understood to not be career-ending.
The 19-year-old rising star trained with the Panthers yesterday but woke up today feeling unwell before being rushed to hospital.
He has become another casualty to be added to the Panthers' rising injury list, which has all but crippled the club in the race for the finals.

Really don't care about the season at all compared to his health. Losing sucks and is heart breaking. But a kids health is more important than any game.

Just focus on being 100% for 2016. This year is a write off anyway. We can't possibly win the amount of games required whether he plays or not. No point risking anyone.

What are your thoughts on the halves situation?

Do you think Moylan will make the jump to 5/8 throughout next year with DWZ taking the custodian role? Or will Te Maire Martin come in?

Seems like a weird situation out in Penrith but I hope for their sake it goes well....except of course when they play us

This is very very very bad!

Fingers crossed he makes a full recovery.

This is not exactly correct. Apparently DWZ went to hospital for a scheduled consultation, and it was decided to keep him under observation due to recovery being slower than expected.

I think end game if everyone develops as hoped:

1. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak
6. Matt Moylan
7. Te Maire Martin
9. James Segeyaro

But Jamie Soward will partner one of those guys for a season before then atleast. There's also no guarantee Moylan is successful in movingto the halves or that Martin is an NRL quality player. But I think that would be the ideal goal for us with the roster we are building.

And yet again,Nein news gets it wrong. He doesn't have a collapsed lung...

UPDATE 7.50pm Friday, July 31:
Penrith Panthers can confirm fullback Dallin Watene-Zelezniak will undergo season-ending surgery.
"Based on medical advice Dallin received today, he will undergo surgery to alleviate the complications of his recent collapsed lung,? Panthers Head of Rugby League Justin Pascoe said.
"We expect Dallin to make a full recovery and look forward to seeing him in action again soon."

According to late mail there's no expected changes for Panthers.

But Gray may be a late inclusion for Souths. Since the late mail is always wrong for us. I expect some late change. Clearly not DWZ though

Leilani Latu has been training with the squad, and may be a chance to make his first grade debut.

That aside, I think Penrith will be murdered tomorrow. A margin less than 30 points will be a positive.

No reverse psychology at play here. It's just how it is at the moment.

Looking forward to seeing G.I. flexing his quads in open space and palming midgets over the side line this afternoon. The in goal area will be sopping red from all the blood draining from Inglis's knees after his 20th goanna. Reyno has been down a bit on his goal kicking of late (by his usually sublime standards) so I'm expecting to see him rebound with a 43 / 43 success rate. I think Keary and Sutton will have good games and Walker will spit on somebody.

Souths 236 - 8.

This is obviously nothing to muck around with..hope he gets a full recovery and should not be rushed back.
