A place in the finals was not on the line. The Dragons, useless as they might be, had already wrapped up 8th place courtesy of Manly getting a pizzling the other night.

If Manly had won, or even lost a close one, a place in the finals might have been on the line. But in reality, it wasn't. The Dragons can lose next week too, it won't matter. Their big game is the 5 v 8 match, against the Bulldogs, Sharks or Rabbitohs they hope. I don't suppose they would want to play a final in Melbourne.

im no fan of either team but thought refs got wrong again.. mead try.. if the technology is there and the mead try in the corner is looked at slow motion its a clear no try. Separation. The other was the 2nd rower for dragons.. never got it down. if ref had of called no try it would of been no try held up.. in those situations ref never seen it so should be left to video ref. oh well another game marred by refereeing..

I think you have made a mistake there. It was the Titans second rower that was held up by Frizell and Dugan.

Two tries that were pretty clearly wrong by the refs and influenced by the on field refs call.

I agree that we were dudded with 3 very contestable video ref decisions, but let's face it, those 3 "tries" and the one Elgey almost scored under Dugan's nose indicate the real state of the game: one team fighting for nothing but pride on their version of old boys day, looking to send a number of departing players out on a high; and one team who played pretty well for the first 40 minutes and thought they had done enough to not only win on the day but sew up a finals berth. I hope Mary tore strips off them when they came back into the sheds after full time.
