How do you assess those decisions as being “sound”
Gutho was as BA a man as existed, and he was not willing to play the utility role. See ya. Iongi is green, but is the future. Call had to be made

RCG was slowing down last year, and he’s been pretty bog average for the titans. Taking his $800k off the cap was a good call.

Carty has sulked since BA was sacked. He was close to worse on field today in nsw cup.

Matto has had a niggling injury, that’s why he hasn’t played.

It's the classic ref style....team expected to win gets the calls...this ref is a reserve grader

We all remember last weekend when the dragons almost scored a try in the corner from a forward pass lucky they went into touch... The touchie didn't get dropped for his shit work he actually got to touch judges our game again tonight.. The NRL is a joke when it comes to the refs

You can start complaining same time next year if things stay the same.

You have got to give ryles a decent chance we are 6 rounds in Ffs

Ill give him all season but he will lose me if we don't see an improvement on what we have now when all our players are fit.

Plus if we don't sign any decent players with the cash we have freed up with Brown leaving..

Well if we don’t see improvement with Williams, Lomax & Moses he’ll be sacked by round 20

Come on JE. Why do you think the touchies wear dark glasses and carry a white cane? Their eyes are painted on. That's why they miss so many forward passes.

Yeah please Mitchell is not on unders.

His almost on 250k per club game atm as we can't get him on the park

The bloke has played 5 club games in 12 months and 5 rep games he has nothing to complain about getting paid to be spending 90% of the time in the rehab club.

Injuries are part of the game.

But something doesn't add up for mine how easy he and his management gave up the POs so quickly this year.

Mitchell owes it to the club to tell Laurie he won't be playing origin this year on the quiet.

But we all know that won't happen.
He didn’t give up the PO, he extended for longer than the PO would’ve given him.

He didn't trigger the PO, but instead chose to sign a different, longer new contract.

Hence he did "give up" the PO he eas entitled to have triggered. Good business for him and the club - and no different to if the PO hadn't even existed...

Which is kind of the reason people (including our club hierarchy) are saying POs shouldn't exist in our future.

Tonight's game - abysmal as expected. Forwards and senior players (Dylan Brown) simply not standing up or leading again.

I've been critical of Kautoga in the past, but it was probably his best game for us. I still think in a decent NRL squad he is only a 20min bench option - but we do not have a decent squad this year.

He got everything the PO would have given him plus a year. The only thing he gave up was being off contract in November.

Kearney had plenty of time without Hayne.
Ryles has shown absolutely nothing. We are conceding almost 34 points a game and scoring 13. Our defensive systems are the worst I’ve ever seen.
Doesn’t change an iota of what I said earlier. Still way too early to make any judgment calls. As an example the Bulldogs finished 15th in 2023.

For an edge forward to make over 40 tackles, he wasn’t being lazy. He might’ve been gassed at stages, doing all that defence, but he wasn’t lazy.

he was the only forward who played 80 against a team who had 56% of the footy with an 88% completion rate

ofcourse hes going to make a lot of tackles

joe made 32 tackles in 37 mins

I think it might be time for Joash Papalii at 1 and maybe ionghi reserves or 6..
Ionghi has been alright but wouldn't be getting too excited...
I saw a fair bit a cup games with Ionghi and Papalii..I think Papalii is better...but hey I might be wrong...nevertheless it's clear we need Moses, Lomax and Jack Williams in the team to be competitive..without them we are rudderless, heartless and clueless
I'd like to see that

But i actually reckon bailey would become a really good fb teddy like. He would be everywhere

The starting Hopgood at hooker rubbish needs to stop.
Start ryley and give him a break at 25/30 with Walker playing hooker until halftime then start 2nd half with Ryley back at hooker with Walker in his roving role.
There is just so much wrong with this club at the moment...top down
