Parra have shown before they're capable of pulling off wins like this but you worry about them choking at the end of the year when they need to win.

Although it f**ks up my tips it's always good seeing the cries all over my Facebook feed when Souths lose.

Well done Parra!

Great win Parra! Felt like we were honestly beaten by a better team on the night, hard to find any excuses in the loss. Though it seemed the Reffing swung heavily against us after Reynolds go pinged for dissent. Goes to show it's never worth talking back to the ref.

Was a great game to watch as well, lot of feeling from the ex Souths boys. If let going in this would be a bit of a danger, being eye first time up against Peats and Sandow in good form. Peats led the defensive line all night and really limited us

Good to get a loss though. As strange as it sounds, Madge doesn't seem to make a big change while we are in winning form. I expect to see a few of our talented juniors come to the backs hopefully next week.

Yeah, you never see Issac Luke carry on when Souths win.......

He needs to learn that if he's going to sledge players when they win ( which happens a lot ), he needs to be prepared to cop some abuse when they lose.

Evidence of it happening a lot?

I'd like to see Gray in for Millard or Reddy as an opposition fan.

Next week is a game that worries me. Going off last night we should beat the Tigers but we need to bring that intensity each and every week and that's where our youth lacks but hoping away mouth leads in that aspect. Thought he and Peats lead well last night.

Can anyone explain Inglis' lack of heart in defending his try line??

No I can't but it's worrying. Ever since Pearce stepped him in the prelim last year he's seemed really vulnerable to sidesteps. Maybe he's just slowing down? It's definitely not a lack of heart. He seems more fired up than ever now he's captain.

Souths were given so much help by the refs. I can't understand in the first half Eels get penalised for offside but a whole set the Rabbitohs were offside and the refs just kept yelling at them to get bavk but no penalty?

At least they got the no call on the Lussick swinging arm right...

Inglis is so big he has limited lateral defensive capability. Pearce showed that a well timed step will beat him and others seem to have caught on.

I just love the excuses coming from Souths fans "oh we didn't have sutton and walker" big deal we were down Radradra, Paulo, Moeroa, Edwards. Most teams have injuries. Our pack stood up to yours and out played them. simple.

Every team has a slump some time, and Souths are having one now. It started last week but Wests Tigers weren't good enough to take advantage.

Can anyone explain Inglis' lack of heart in defending his try line??

I can explain it. He's been getting called "the best player in the world" and he believes it. The last bloke called this was made look a goose by Jamie Soward in a game his team had to win to make the finals.

End of an era for Souths.

Oh well good while it lasted.

Well there was a bit of blue print for teams that want to play with a bit of heart. Stop the Burgessssssss and they will struggle and so will Isaac's running game. Not rocket science just requires commitment. Then when close to the line just run at Inglis and he'll find away to avoid tackling you. Too easy!

Same here but I'm not sure he's ready for 1st Grade. That's the problem with our depth atm, we've got two guns in Gray and Manuleleua (dude who scored the runaway try in the Charity Shield) but we might have to persist with Goodwin/Millard/Reddy for a few weeks so the young guys can get some more NSW Cup time.

Junior Paulo is a gun front rower and will get better. Moeroa is lauded the best young back rower in the game, Radradra is Dally M winger of 2014 after only playing league for 3 years! Edwards is a talent too. They may not be the same level as Walker (the only 'star" you were missing) but they're all important to the make up of our side

Sutton, Turner and Auva'a are important for Souths too, but Parra were the better side on the night, and deserved their win. Good luck to them. If they can play that well consistantly, they will make the top 8.

Not really. It happens sometimes with him. I think it's partly technique. He might have been a bit flat footed, so quicker players in that situation can get around him sometimes. That young John Folau looks a good winger though. It wont be the last time he scores tries like that.

The mistake by the ref that stands out for me was the swinging arm for which we didn't even get a penalty for. The video ref even looked at it during a stoppage in play. I was just waiting for the ref to put the Parra player on report and award a penalty to Souths, but it didn't happen. I wonder if they have been questioned about that since.

Another option is to move Reddy to centre, and bring in Manuleleua on the wing.

That was f**king ridiculous. He had TWO goes at him. The seconds one just connected better.

The first one was around the shoulders. The second one connected. Surprised it got through. Surely he will be done by the match review committee though

Yeah the first one didn't connect. But the problem with dishing out two swinging arms in a row is that it makes any claim that it was accidental much less believable.
