Congrats Knights, great start to the season.

As for us no Seg or Sowie, the Idris no try etc it's not the end of the world.

Back to the level of the 2013 side. Won't beat anyone half decent without Soward + Segs. Our fans overrate our depth.

Knights are better than I thought they were, probably make the 8. Congratulations on the March Premiership.

Four tries to three, the Panthers certainly had the better of the second half, and another try disallowed on a technicality.

Didn't play well enough to win but at least made a game of it in the second half.

Knights could have crumbled late but didn't, they are going to have a decent season.

Also Knights have the makings of a top 4 team. Not sure they're premiership contenders, but they have had agreat start to the year and should be able to stay top 4 all year.

Panthers will be lucky to crack the 8 though. Ladt 2 weeks have been awful. Soward is so much more important then people realise.

Well played Newcastle. Deserved win today.

Pennies were far too sideways. No go forward at all. Moylan had a poor game. That's to be expected with so much attacking responsibilities on his shoulders at such a young age.

We missed Segs the most. Service out of dummy half was way too slow. Attack looked lethargic because of it.

Massive congrats to Newcastle on the 4-0 start. With another one or two front row prospects they'll have all the ingredients to challenge very soon.

Bennett really was like a lead weight around your necks. Strangled the life and joy out of your football.

I see this as a big "up yours" to Bennett. He spent all last year blaming these very players for not buying into his style of footballs when he simply didn't buy into the way of Newcastle

Award that try and we still lose.

Idris clearly grounded it, but video couldn't show it... Luckily that wasn't the difference. Doesn't bother me at all. Not like last weeks call that was clearly wrong. Under the existing rules the video referee made the right call today.

We played badly and lost a game . Sh!t happens. It's not the end of the world FFS. We lost twice to Cronulla last year too, and where did we end up? I'm hope we improve and that this is a bad game out of the way. The season goes for 26 rounds, not 4. Upward and onward Panthers.

Tom.

Glad to get the points. Attack took a step in the right direction, Mullen was fan-f**king-tastic and Roberts did well. Says something when I'm actually happy about Houston and Fa'alogo's performance :x

Round 26 is going to be a blockbuster. If both sides are fit and in form, it could be mouth-watering.

I am not upset about it. Technically we all know it was a try, but under the rules they couldn't possibly award it. Just puts it into perspective that even without arguably our 2 best players & the first 20 minutes of absoloute dross we were still well in it. Newcastle deserved the 2 points & good on them. Just saying we will be fine as the season goes on.

Hopefully we get rid of this bad form in the early parts of the season, and get on a roll towards the finals.

Really not sure what Kite offers. Play killer and slowest play the ball in the comp.

Poor Wallace copped about 5 late shots and kept getting up. Thought there might be more focus on Scott after JT vented his frustrations about it.

Ah well, we knew it was on the cards. Newcastle were good. Probably not a good idea giving them a 18-0 head start . Their solid defence made our best players look pretty ordinary.
Well done Newy. You thoroughly deserve top spot.
