It doesn't always piss down with rain all day...

...But when it does, the Knights are playing their bogey team.

FMD. Glad I was downing a few beers and chatting with a mate for the remainder of that one because it sure wasn't one for the season highlights reel!

Wet track and it evens up the staus quo.

Knights will be winning a lot more than they'll lose.

I know. Frustrates me that it happens to be against a team against which they have a shit winning record. Unusual I know, but it especially irks me how some teams nearly always get either the weather as an equaliser, a single game against us in the season that happens to be on their home turf, or an arsey run of luck when they play us. Knights seem to have this sort of luck against the Panthers, while Brisbane and St George seem to have the same thing constantly happen when they play us. I swear if I was a Dragons fan I would've lost my hair just on account of all their games against the Raiders over the years!

Nah bud. We're the Titans/Dragons of 2014, set to tumble all the way down to the bottom of the ladder.

Obviously one loss, one shit performance is a reflection of the Knights' ability this season. No hope; all dashed in a pitiful display.

Comically bad from the Knights. Our tactic of bringing teams down to our level didn't quite work this week.

Bennett must've coached them tonight right?

It's all his fault.

Not Bennett's fault, Stone's...but ironically it came about by playing a style of footy we proved time after time we didn't suit under Bennett. It was just really, really dumb...even in the wet...and even dumber persisting with it all night after seeing it wasn't working.

Full credit to the Dragons though. They ran out of their line at us all night, gave us zero space and we lost our shit. Totally underestimated their defensive ability. Great win...although I'm getting sick of saying that when you guys always beat us haha.

Only reason I mention it is because both teams are near the pointy end of the ladder enjoying comparatively better football than last year, while not contenders there's something to build on.

Best performance the Dragons produced all season.

Nothing pretty but plenty of good contact in defence and just played more footy than the Knights.

Newcastle were poor. Conditions didn't suit their style of play and it exposed their halves who have been down all season.

Not a pretty game but any game you keep the opposition to zero is worth celebrating.

Why can't most neutrals see the game how you've seen it Pete?

Yeah it was a poor quality game but what do people expect in those conditions 5 rounds into the season?

Newcastle had a bad day and most likely wont play that bad again this season.

Us Dragons fans haven't had much to cheer about over the last 3 seasons so it was nice to hold a team to 0 instead of it happening to us.

Agreed. Both sides' start to the year have been extremely similar.

Dragons were very impressive defence and below average attack
Knights were dreadful in defence and clueless in attacks.

Good defence will win you more games than clueless attack.
