Here's my two cents...Slater looked bloody good tonight and lifts the whole team with his speed in the backline on set plays. Bromwich, Chambers and Green were good tonight and Mann is a gun for his small size.

Watch Christian Welch in the coming months...the guy is a Hoffman clone and will be a regular first grader next year. Bellamy is building a solid mobile pack with Proctor, Harris and Finucane and they are dominating sides through playing a fast game.

Parra had their moments but pushed passes in the middle of the park and poor ball control killed any chance they had.

I'd like to see Melbourne get cap exemptions (yes, yes I know what you're thinking) for developing VRL players in to NRL. We want to develop the game nationally don't we? Why not give local juniors something to aim for?
