Partly, it's more because Toovey wasn't in the right circle in the club, I.e. that fat prick Zorba and his cronies. The knives were out for him as soon as we had a poor year.

Poor performance from Manly, but Broncos and Cowboys looked horrible early last season so it's a bit early to write them off.

Dogs were Dogs, but they didn't really have to work for their tries. Pretty brutal up front on both sides of the ball as always.

There was more to it than that, some weird behind the scenes garbage. But Barrett get's at least a few games to show what he can do. Like I said I've got no idea why we signed him over Toovey but I didn't expect immediate results. Shit performance tonight though.

Brown is decent if used in the right way, but I don't think Many are going to get much value out of him charging on the edges as if he's a hole runner.

He's a hooker who got turned into a second rower and has only played under Cleary his whole career. I get the feeling Cleary understood his limitations to a degree, something Barrett will need to learn quickly.

Good win. I thought Hopoate was very good , obviously not going to provide the attacking spark the Morris does but his positional play was sensation. I thought Graham and Eastwood won the game for us in the first 10 minutes by just destroying Manly up the middle.

Also liked the look of Green for Manly , was one of the only Manly players who looked like breaking a tackle.

Graham and Tolman were excellent clearly the two best players on the pitch tonight if Canterbury's halves can click they can go all the way having 2 front rowers who can play for 60-80 minutes is going to make a big difference.

Combined Tolman and Graham made 50 hit ups and 82 tackles and that isn't counting the times Graham provided tip ons or ran decoys.
