I don't think the bunker should be allowed to rule on something that happens 40m away from the tryline

I'm happy with that no try decision. The Titans player did actually attempt to get back to Toops and Mitchell was in his way, even if only slightly. One of the worst things about obstruction is the inconsistency with its application and at least by sticking to a set of rules we are removing that inconsistency.

Eventually coaches will realise to avoid risking an obstruction penalty and change the positioning and angle of their decoy runners

Wrong on every level. Mitchell wasnt a decoy runner he was a support runner. Cant just disappear and Taylor was never going to get Tupou. Clear try.
