Putting hits on halfbacks is actually awesome. I have always thought putting a late bellringer on the oppositions most important halfback on the very first set (even if you cop the penalty) is an awesome strategy. gotta let the little fellows know that they are playing a physical game.

Concur with most. Maxwells an absolute disgrace of an official.
Is there a game where he hasn't been incompetent?

May look awesome but doesn't really make you look like a physical beast - which is what Junior Paulo is. I've seen players year after year try to stop Taumalolo and always end up on their ass. I remeber one time Tepai Moeroa, a reknowned tackler, lining up Taumalolo only to end up on his backside. What Junior managed to do was nothing short of amazing. I've never seen someone do that to Taumalolo.

Semi dives at half-time Kenny Edwards scores.
Semi dives at the beginning of the second-half Brad Takairangi scores.
Penalties missed for Cows.
11-4 penalty count.
In a 20-16 match
Maxwell sucks dogs balls.

But well done Eels, should kick start their season.

Luck went our way for a change, our defence was great but the attack still has plenty of improvement in it.

Jennings and Semi have hardly had any ball. Hopefully that changes next week.

Im not cutting my wrists over a 4 point away loss in round 2. It was just one of those nights where everything seemed to go against us (a lot of it was our own doing, mind you, we dropped the ball all night). The refereeing was disgraceful though, no two ways about it.

Oh well, hopefully we got the shit out of our system tonight and come back bigger and better next week.

Don't forget your bloke's dive for a nothing crusher tackle that lead to a Cows try.

We were shitful, but f**k me we got no help from the officiating all game.

Fingers crossed the boys wake the f**k up because they looked like they were going through the motions for a lot of the game.

I don't think I have seen the Cows that bad for a while and don't think I will see it again for a while. I am sure thier supporters wouldn't be worried by that performance.

Maxwell and the officials in general was pretty pathetic - for once we were on the right side of it but seriously, the bunker might be a positive but the men with the whistle haven't improved.

I think it showed again that we are a different team if we get a lead - we are a much better front running team thank trying to chase a lead. It was a mistake-athon from both teams but defence certainly won the day in the end.
