Hiku had some great games at fullback for Manly in the finals a few years back, should definitely be given a crack. Smith must have photos or video of someone important at Penrith to keep getting a gig.

Sounds like you might be right mate.... Smith definitely has something on Gus or Griffin

I curse my old man for raising me as a Panthers fan. Why is Smith at FB still? Throw DWZ there, Whare in for Blake...push Blake to wing or something. Bring TMM in for Wallace, drop McPloddry as well.

Smith being hard done by here imo, he had a couple of errors but so did some others. Smith wouldn't be my FB but I will give him a fair go, he ran for 150m plus and had a nice linebreak to setup our first try.

If you are going to drop Smith for the Fensom try you have to drop Yeo and RCG for missing simple tackles on our line for the Austin and Sezer tries which in reality are worse.

I would have Dallin before Hiku at FB but Dallin didn't do himself many favours last week either. Overall I though Smith went ok for a back up FB.

.

Yep fair assessment, to be honest the game was done when we dropped the ball from the scrum. Face it, Smith has Fensom in his fantasy team and wanted the extra points to make up for the lack of Fensom game time.

Austin and Sezer have a bit more attacking prowess than Shaun Fensom. Fensom is known to die with the ball if someone breathes near him.

It was a bit of a tongue in cheek comment anyway. But I still think Hiku is your better option.

Yeah but Yeo and RCG have a bit more defensive prowess then Smith...lol they were pretty soft tries not taking anything away from you guys.

I was more responding to some of the other comments acting like it is the worst selection in the world. I felt a bit like that before the game last week but he performed ok.

Panthers using this game to celebrate their 50th year in the league. They will be up for this, picking the upset. Panthers to win.

His linebreak is responsible for half those metres. He was driven backwards many times and is prone to one or two big errors a game. Not sure he has had a game without atleast one big WTF moment yet.

Hopefully tonights the night. The bright side is that most teams have been making a lot of similar errors. Plus i dont think Hopoate is much better than Smith at fullback. So really if he can go a game with no errors we might be fine even if he doesn't offer much in attack. Really all our blokes need an error free game. Bulldogs will punish us for errors without making many themselves.

I would pick others ahead of him but he wasn't that bad last week imo. Anyway sounds like he might be forced out due to Whare.

Blake would be surely dropped rather than a reshuffle. if not then were moving 2 guys to fit him in:

Hiku - FB
Blake - moves to left centre
Whare - takes his right centre spot

Or:
DWZ - FB
Blake - right wing
Whare - right centre

I doubt we shuffle the team when we can take Blake out. He and Smith are just keep jerseys warm regardless of form IMO.
