A lot of excuses in here from chook fans.
It was 40 - 0 ffs.

No excuses about that performance at all. The effort was just not there at all. Our strength this year was meant to be our pack but they've been terrible 3 weeks in a row now. SST is the only forward who can hold his head up IMO.

GI is a greater loss than RTS.

GI is in a different class.

We are without Reyno, Tom, Sutto and Musgrove. They are big losses.

We have no D. Walker or McQueen either. Plus we lost Issac Luke.

I'm a truth teller:lol:

never f**king heard of him

Lmao@Roosters.

Feels like 2009 again. And I like that.

Seriously though, I do like the likes of Latrell Mitchell and Jayden Nikorima and I hope they develop into good players.

Just a lack of experience from the Roosters and literally nothing they can do. They've lost so many players and the next 6 weeks or so might be rough. Just a thing that happens in sport.

Just watched the highlights. Geez, that's a pundits that ends in bleeding. Feel for Hendon, poor guy

What a slaughter, that wasn't pretty for chook fans. Lucky for Newcastle otherwise major spoon contenders. Ok it's only early but geeez....

That was brutal. Wouldn't be surprised if that's his career to be honest. The bottom half of your shin should never be at an angle to the top half.

How old is Henderson? An NBA player Paul George snapped his lower leg in a game a couple years ago and made a pretty great recover after a year. George is a big star though and would of had the best of everything in his recovery.

The bolded part says it all. Hendo is as old as the hills and wouldn't be getting a start if Pearce was playing as Niko would be in his role.

I don't think we will see him back.

It's so subjective to the actual injury though. Jharal Yow Yeh was an absolute superstar and the Broncos would have thrown the greatest surgeons and doctors his way and he still couldn't get back on the field.

With these kinds of injuries there is so much that can go wrong or not. Tragic stuff.

Thats where they have lost all 3 games. The raiders played like plonkers against them but easily strolled through the middle whenever they held onto the ball.

Souths and cowboys just pumped them upfront.

THIS ^^^

Our line speed has been god awful and our forwards are just not aiming up
We're missing our best two forwards, but the guys who are there are just looking for excuses

Mind you they've got plenty to choose from

Appalling player retention and squad management (letting Maloney go?)
An inexperienced backline who can't defend together and offer little in attack
A forward pack missing their best players so your reserves start and 3rd grade players come off the bench
A terrible schedule where they played 35 degree days back to back, followed by a 5 day turnaround to tropical Queensland after returning from the UK where they played a pointless pre-season game
A squad who's hands have been replaced by flippers as they're all desperate to emulate SKD

Instead of aiming up and having a red hot go, they've decided to let the excuses have a go.

They'll get f**king pumped by Manly next week and the Warriors the week after. That's how bad they are at the moment.

They need to learn to complete their sets - stop making simple errors conceding field position on every set and they need to f**king rip in and have a go. They did it for 20 minutes last night and 20 minutes against Canberra. That wins you f**k all.

The lack of effort overall is disappointing but our 1,6 and 7 were all in the 20's last season. Our left edge from last year only has Tupou in tact, no Jenko, no Maloney and no Cordner. Of course we are going to struggle.

We really should've told the organisers of the WCC thing to piss off and stayed here in Oz preparing for a massive transitional year.

It has been the practice of the Roosters for at least 15 years to back-load and front-load player contracts in such a fashion as to gain a salary cap advantage without actually breaking the rules. What this means is that every five or so years they have to have a player cleanout. So they have three good seasons followed by one dismal season and a middling season, then the cycle restarts. If you look at their table positions since 2000 you'll see what I mean. I think this season was supposed to be a middling one but they didn't expect to lose Pearce for the first 8 games.

They are not the only club back and front loading contracts but they are the only one manipulating it to this extent, and they are certainly the only one that goes from grand finals, to spoon, and then grand finals again in a few years.

How good is Anzac Day shaping up... both sides could be looking for their first win!
