Triple M were saying PNG set to join in 2028 this morning, however their soundbite from Abdo after the PMXIII didn’t sound the most promising (paraphrasing) “we are looking to get more content into PNG over the next few years, that means more internationals and maybe even a NRL or NRLW game” - seemed quite telling he didn’t mention even an aspiration to have an NRL team based there

That purely based off his interview at the pms13, nothing's been announced, it very much won't be till next season I can guess, unless it comes at the end of the Pacific bowl final
