I watched this game on the weekend and it was a classic ...it was a great win but it was also hilarious, The pre game by Mike Gibson was a highlight as well as the first class bogans on the hill at Parra stadium with finely tuned mullets and thier "Aussie Duct" sharkies jerseys tucked into thier tight black jeans but i laghed the hardest at the "cronulla dancing girls" ....let's just say the mermaids have come along way.

Docking had an absolute blinder along with Stains and Speechley, Danny Lee actually scored a try and i'd
forgoten what a decent player Alan Wilson was.

Anyone else remember this game or seen it recently?

I remember seeing it back then. The game was close until early in the second half, then the Sharks blew them away. Grrr, if they had beaten Gold Coast a couple of weeks before the finals they would have finished in the Top 3 instead of having to have that play-off! Still, it gave us one of Cronulla's best ever games. :)

I remember it but I haven't seen it since then. I'd love to get a copy of it.

It's a must see ....the droptanks hanging out from underneath the dancing girls tracksuit tops it worth it on its own.

I have it on tape, along with a squillion other games, old & new. Will get around to converting them all to DVD soon before the tapes deteriorate from age!

Probably paul Bishops best game for the club ever.

I have the game on tape, even better I have the Brisbane version that a mate copied for me. Its so good having the commentators talk up the shoncos only to have their bottoms smaked.

The club or whoever owns the rights to the games should put them on DVD and sell them. Not having been alive till 1980 or football aware till the early 90's I'd buy up big on classic Sharks games.

Failing that the club could show our Grand Final games on the big screen at the ground during the bye weeks. I've never seen those games and would pay a reasonable entry fee to see them.

Alan Wilson was a strong player.

I watched that play off match on TV while I was at Uni in Canberra.

I remember another match the previous year, where we beat Brisbane 38-8. I remember we led 18-0 after 8 minutes. It was on ABC TV with Warren Boland from memory. I'd like to see it again cause my memory of those days are getting dim.

when I get around to buying a card to transfer stuff to my pc Ill try and put em up. I have a game back in the 80s when we flogged Brisbane at Shark Park.Could of been circa 88. Gav Miller, Docko and Barry Russell carving em up with the ABC commentary going wild.

I've got an absolute sh**load of them McSharkie. Some dating back to 1984. It's gonna take quite a while to get them onto DVD though, but we're working on it :D

Ahh yes, the ABC coverage. An uninteruppted, no nonsense rugby league broadcast. Warren Boland and Johnny Peard. If only the aunty could get back on board, then we could piss ch9 and all its morons right off.......

My Aussie Duct jersy is the pride and joy of my wardrobe, besides my signed Rancid tshirt and my tartan bondage trousers.

BTW, I cant remember that game and would love to see it. For sure.
