You disagree bottle?

Beauty, as they say, is in the eye of the beholder.
For mine it's not a patch on the 3 in the thread title, nor '03 or even as you've indicated '91. The combatants, poor refereeing calls, the outcome, all go together to sully the experience for me. It's not front of mind when I think of great GFs, nor particularly memorable.
However I can understand the fans of the Premiers from any year having that experience etched indelibly into their mindset. I've seen Saints win three and the elation is never forgotten, and that colours the memory of the games.

Other Rorters fans, yeah.

Leaving aside people's dislike of us and manly, 2013 has to be considered one of the better grand finals although certainly not amongst the greatest. It had everything. See-sawing scoreline, penalty try to Manly, Jennings with one of the greatest GF tries ever, SKD controversial try, Tupou's AFL try, Moa hit on G Stewart on first hit up, Maloney 5 from 5, DCE CCM medal controversy and Williams with one of the worst gf performances ever. Obviously I'm biased but the entire game was edge of your seat stuff. I recall commentary stating that it was one of the best GF's in recent memory.

I think 2003 was also up there for excitement despite the result. Another game that you couldn't take your eyes off it.

No love for 1991? Another Grand Final that had many memorable moments, and another maiden Premiership. Geyer getting binned. Alexander missing a couple of easy kicks then slotting the one that mattered from out wide, not to mention calmly slotting a long range field goal. Canberra withstanding wave after wave of Penrith attack in the second half. Penrith having to come from behind, carrying the pressure of being a mile the best team all year and the disappointment of the year before. Scott Gale going for the short drop out with Canberra down by a point with time running out after they had turned away another Panthers raid. Geyer plucking the ball from Gale's kick and putting Penrith legend Royce Simmons over in the corner for his first ever double in his final ever game and sealing his team's maiden Premiership. Hollywood couldn't script it better.

I certainly think I was spoiled to have 89 and 91 as 2 of the first 3 Grand Finals I watched.

1990 and 91 were both fantastic grand finals

'89 then daylight. After that, '97 then more daylight.

'91 and '03 also well ahead of '15.

That team try scored eventually by Brad Izzard is the best technically engineered I've seen scored in any game of league. It had just about everything except a kick. The Harlem Globetrotters try of tries.

2003 was a magnificent grand final. 1st V 2nd, Penrith came from nowhere to win it, hard hitting high quality footy from the opening whistle, Sattler tackle, Priddis with the best performance in a Grand Final I've ever seen.

Quality stuff
