My under 15 rep coach used to tell the quicks that bowling around the wicket useless because you would never get lbw's. Technology seems to have changed that sort of thinking.

A lot of terrible balls for all these byes but a keeper at their peak would be stopping or at least getting a hand to most of them. Haddin is way past it.

He has gotten stopped most of them actually. That drop has obviously made it a below par day though for him.

Australia are useless outside of their own country, your recent record in England proves it you can't play on all wickets.

Starc with a third. Good spell this. These are some huge wickets just before the new ball.

I would say Australia has one of the best away records (alongside South Africa) of any nation during the past ten years.

Confirmation (after one minute of research)

Australia and South Africa are the only two countries to have won more tests away from home than lost.

*Mind you, if you decrease the sample size to five years you get a different answer, but always in statistics it is better to have a larger sample size. And if you increase the sample size to greater than ten years, the result becomes even more greatly skewed in Australia's favour .... so in ending YOU FAILED LeedsRhino. Failed miserably.*

Happy with 7 wickets on that deck, far to many runs though.

To many fours balls, honestly you can't carry two inconsistent left handers who leak runs. Harry is a massive loss and our only back up is Shittle. We have some worries IMO. Shitchell Johnston in Englandis like Chief De Beers at Eagle Farm.

geez that was a huge miss from Hads, not sure why he dived as he could have taken it easily with 2 hands imo

great innings from Root

our young bowlers seem to struggle getting used to these duke balls but at the end of the day they were both better than Notch who seems to be on the downward slide

good days cricket for mine, even contest

Even with England a touch in front. If Starc can do his rip through the tail act we'll be laughing. If we can get them for under 400 we are doing OK.

But can't help but think what might have been

Mitchell Johnson is 33. Fast bowlers who rely on pace more than accuracy rarely go deep into their 30s.

It is a concern.
