1st Ashes Test: England v Australia at Cardiff on Jul 8-12, 2015

Sure I was delighted to be wrong about having to follow on....simple mistake to make.

But Wazn will be out first over tonight.

Australia bowling 45 minutes before lunch 100-140 behind.

Absolute no chance of a lead.

Who is this merkin death riding Australia? Absolute pr!ck!

I reckon Australia all out 20 minutes before tea for between 182 and 204.

Wazn top score thought. Yikes.

This fragile batting line-up won't be chasing 400. Good on Lyon for finally performing, one of the few aussie players who have actually turned up this test

*only 400 odd* lol

Fair play to Australia if you win from here but it's a 1/100 chance, historically speaking.

I can't believe England might win this test. We only have one batsman worth feeding - Root. Australia have 3 so I figured that'd be the difference.

Yep, I'd say we'd probably need to be 2 for well over 200 to even be a small hope of getting up, particular as Wazn will be attempting to achor the tail. It just doesn't happen in the 4th dig.

We'll do well to post 300 unfortunately, but happy to be proven wrong, of course.

C'mon you shitty Pommy weather...

Australia need to be no more than 3 down before the second new ball to win this one imo.

Australia have had a pretty poor test match in all departments. The bowlers have just started to warm into their work. Hopefully the batsmen can do the same.

They are very different conditions to what we are used to but a good team should be able to handle all conditions.

the pommies would need to bowl pus.

we'd need to play out of our skins.

even then, this pitch is going to help them a sh*t more than us.

i'd love to see it, but i doubt it.

hopefully it's the kick up the arse required. if the end result is that unflushable finally gets the boot, then there's something in it for all of us. the worst result would be to lose & unflushable gets a fifty.

Mark Nicholas just said a funny - "There's two days left":lol:

It'll be impressive if we make it to tea.
