Haven't read back over any of the comments re: the Khawaja run out but that was 100% Khawaja's fault. No idea what he was thinking. Never even close to a run in it.

Ian Healy talking crap. Bill Lawry spot on.

And Hughes did call early on, look at the replay at normal speed, Khawaja was told early enough, he just turned like a truck.

And look at Bailey giving the thumbs up as a thank you. Committed running by Hughes got him his 50 there.

Australia should take the batting powerplay now
I agree. But they've been told they can't take it in the last 10 overs so that pretty much means they'll take it in the 35th 99% of the time because most Captains don't have any ability to think outside the box.

A fine fifty by Georgie Porgie. Hopefully Hughes' focus isn't on the hundred and is on the team's score. We don't need a loss of momentum now.

Wow didn't know that. Noone has ever scored a ODI 100 on debut for Australia.

Phil Jaques has the highest score less than 100 on debut. He was very unluckily given out for about 94 caught behind IIRC, coincidentally against Sri Lanka at Melbourne 7 yrs ago

The criticism of Hughes is getting farcical.

No matter what it is always his fault. If he hesitates, he is wrong. If he goes, he is wrong. If he listens to his partner, he is wrong. If he doesn't listen to his partner, he is wrong. If he's going to the danger end, he is wrong. If he's going away from the danger end, he is wrong.

In that "incident" with Bailey, Bailey said yes and started running, so Hughes did aswell, then Bailey hesitates and changes his mind, and apparently Hughes is in the wrong.

The one before with Khawaja, as slow as Khawaja is if he slid the bat in with the proper technique he would have been in. But it was still Hughes in the wrong.

Most of you are shitting on him only because I like him and want reasons to bitch if he gets a 100.

If someone gets run out or almost gets runout, he was wrong 100% of the time.

Simple, 3rd grade mathematics says the easiest way to solve the problem is to first find the common denominator.

HAH is bad

This Australian team is definitely not b grade as some put it. Besides kwajawa this team is all quality. The only player worth bringing in is Clarke and maybe Warner. Watson is passed it and shouldn't play again.

You've really got your head up your arse on this occasion. You really call Mitchell Johnson, Aaron Finch, Xavier Doherty, Glen Maxwell A-grade players?

South Africa.

Sorry my mistake. I knew it was during the 2005/06 tri series as that was just before I moved out of home. He was very unlucky to be given out caught behind though. Shame his spine injury brought a halt to his career just as he was starting to break into the national side
