Geez that first review is costly now.. I can understand them giving it a crack at that point but f**k we might need a slice of luck from time to time to get through this quality SA line-up.

well, the review helped get rid of Smith, and South Africa's 3, 4, and 5 are all hard to dismiss top quality batsmen, so losing the reviews now is really uncomfortable for Australia.

The first review I didn't understand, the appeals weren't even confident, might teach Clarkey a lesson about the use of reviews

how is it a good call?

the only reason it was not out was because less than 50% of the ball pitched in line according to hawkeye.

i can understand when the ball has a long distnace to travel to the stumps they take in a margin of error for the electronic tracking.

however in that case when its clear the ball is hitting the stumps and clearly putched in line the 3rd umpire should be able to override.

I don't think you should lose a review for an umpires call either, if the call goes the way and the batsmen refer it then they'd be out.

BotD should always go with the batsmen and while it's a little hard to swallow by the rules and technology the umpire was right.

Deserves credit for it.
