I don't see what his done wrong since taking the job. His turned it into a culture of picking the best team rather then the best individuals who at times don't make the best team. The only time we have been beaten since he took the job has been to England in a ODI series in which we were missing a few players and had other return from injury. The result against SA is irrelevant, he and Clarke have done a fantastic job to turn this Aussie side around and perhaps be the World NO.1 again by the end of the summer.

not liking Inverarity in the media, f**k he is a goose

when questioned why Hussy was picked with an average of just 11 against the proteas, Invers replied with "well he is due"

I've got no issues with Hussey being picked but to say something so stupid is just mind boggling

He averages 33 against South Africa. The media are getting annoying with their continual bagging of Ponting and Hussey. The are both in the best 6 batsmen in the country and deserve to be there and there is no player at FC level scoring enough runs consistently to require selection.

and now the fossil is saying that Mitch Johnson will come into contention towards the end of the series as he intends to rotate the bowlers

He has probably already been picked for the Perth test, cause Notch bowled a great spell there once against south africa

Hopefully we are 2-0 up by then

Can we wait until we lose a test series under him, before we start with this?

so would I, Siddle and Hilfy are just fringe player that have been in and out of the team and only got back in because of Billy's coaching where as those younguns have natural talent and Billy has gone now

the problem then becomes rotation and how do we not burn them out. Haze may be the answer but not yet so I think Siddle and Hilfy do have a roll to play

My biggest concern is the openers, Cowan is fine but Warner is a walking wicket at the money who hasn't got a run since last year!

Yeah aside from Clarke & Ponting the rest don't have much since last summer. Watson was alright in WI just the usual starts without the big score.

The shield games this week are key to them finding some form. Haddin/Wade aside there's no one pushing to get a start sadly.

SA have done the job here before while never playing at the Gabba Steyn especially should bowl well there. So we need to find some form before the game

Other than Jacques Kallis, I think the SA top order is just as vulnerable

should be an epic series

Australia 3-0 for mine, 2-0 (maybe adelaide will be a draw)

England thought the same thing. I remember reading how they were targetting Amla.:lol: That worked well for them.

Yeah the top 4 are the key. Neither team has a quality spinner and can struggle when the shine is off the ball.
