NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Not another wicket off a no-ball. Far out, Australia have been their own worst enemies in the field

That would've been a huge wicket just before lunch. Australia will definitely learn their lesson for the next test at Adelaide

When are these dipshit quicks going to realise how costly this shit is. FSS, if it means constantly planting your foot half a metre behind the crease then so be it.

Any bowler who bowls a no ball should have his ankles crushed in a vice.

Agreed. I guess you can call it the unpardonable sin in cricket. Had shades of when Michael Beer got Alistair Cook out off a no-ball at a crucial point in the England innings, and Cook went on to make a big score.

no excuse for bowling no balls at this level

why the f**k do we have bowing coaches

they dont normally practise bowling legal deliveries in the nets and thats transferring onto the pitch

So how many no balls are bowled in a match that aren't called because the umpire isn't sure? If the only close ones that are called are by the 3rd ump after a 'wicket', then the umps must be letting a whole heap go. For me they should either check every single ball for a no ball, or not check any and let the umpire make the call on the spot. You shouldn't really be able to have it both ways.

Agree with your first sentence.

And the funny thing is that Pattinson's foot was well behind the line on the replay of the previous delivery. His whole foot was nearly behind the line!

Of course there's heaps of no-balls that go unnoticed.

The ICC should do what FIFA did with the 2010 World Cup when they used a censor device on the goalposts (parallel to the goal line) which will activate when the ball crosses the line.

In this case, the ICC could have two censor devices either on the boundary (which would be parallel to both front crease lines) OR have it at the bowling end directly infront of the middle stump (i.e. in the area where the bowler won't be landing his front foot) on the front crease line. I'd be in favour of the first option

its quiet common for the bowlers to over step by a metre or so in the nets, the idea being the ball comes onto the batsmen quicker and gives the batsmen a good workout

time to rethink this and practise bowling properly in the nets imo

This is what happens when you follow Souffs all your life.

Negative f**king nancy.

You should always be striving to win and at worst at least moving the game foward.
What I am arguing for will make it more likely to win the next 2 Tests. What everyone else is arguing for will not win this test. I'm not being negative, I'm a pragmatist.

How the South African bowlers would have been prepared to bowl 30-40 overs each this match. None of the South Africans are teenage fast bowlers likely to breakdown rather experienced pace bowlers, the only person you are exposing to injury is Clarke.

So in your world BM, Australia settling for a draw somehow equals us being more likely to win the next 2 tests as opposed to trying to win the match which would put us 1-0 up in a 3 match series or at worse the aforementioned draw?
