In reality, any first innings lead is too much for South Africa. The average 3rd innings total at the GABBA is less than 250 and this batting lineup is sub-par. 64 runs as a lead (and counting) and Australia have done enough with the bat (and especially the ball) to win this in good time.

He used to be good for 20 or 30 very valuable runs but now he is a genuine tail ender.
