In reality, any first innings lead is too much for South Africa. The average 3rd innings total at the GABBA is less than 250 and this batting lineup is sub-par. 64 runs as a lead (and counting) and Australia have done enough with the bat (and especially the ball) to win this in good time.
Unfortunately I think you're right. If this gets to day 4 I'll be very surprised. I think Australia have squandered a nice opportunity to get a 100-150 run lead and put lots of pressure on the SA batters.
If one of the SA batters gets a ton or build a big partnership they could win, but it's unlikely.

Australia are a bit better than South Africa in Batting, the pace attacks are even, Baldie is better than their spinner.

I reckon their fielding just shades us.

I'd bat Lyon at 9, Cummins at 10.

Patty too worried about the environmental impact of his wooden bat on a leather ball these days.

Seriously. If you saw and heard Justin Franger at your local Westfield's you'd be hoping his carers hadn't lost him. The guy is a dead set mollusc.

And the merkin never stops f**king talking.

OK, Elgar fails again. But again, batsmen gets no benefit from a dubious LBW call

Umps should default to not calling them and let the bowlers challenge. If it's in the zone where it's currently ruled 'umpires call', let it favour the batsman.
