Surely Bird replaces Haze in test 2. Can't remember the touring squad so not sure what other options they have. Pretty sure Bird went though.

The other three squad members are Bird, Cartwright and Swepson.

We can't afford to be staring down an Ashes series with Haze/Starc/Patto already injured and risk Cummins in a nothing series.

that would just be business as usual for our quicks, Bird is 5th in line yet he seems to get as many games as the other 4

I'm confident that a Bird/Cummins/Sayers attack can get a job done, but jeez the cupboard is looking bare beyond that.

I think there are a few around who could play the third seamer role ably, but might put a lot of pressure on the lead two.We need two of Starc/Haze/Cummins/Bird/Pattinson though. I can't think of any bowlers outside those guys I'd be happy with as one of the leading quicks.

Sayers had a strong shield season didn't he? I think they are going with O'Keefe because of the spinner friendly wickets.

Sayers had a great shield season, but I'm not sold on his ability to convert that to Test level. I hope he gets a shot though.

Gratz to Davey Warner on the century.
It's a thin line between being the hero and the villain.
If the Bangers take the chance when he was on 12 or there abouts he cops all kinds of flack.
Still well done for cashing in and giving us a real chance.

I'm first to heap shit on Warner for being a bit of a flat track bully, but he's batted well for that ton, and when it mattered too.
