I am expecting a HUGE series from Sanga with the bat (i have probably jinxed him now!)

He hasn't got the greatest record in India and he wants to fix that up.

Plus Sri Lanka have never won a test in India, and he wants to be the first captain to achieve this. He also knows he can be the first Sri Lankan captain to take them to Number 1 in the rankings with a series win in India.

Dilshan gets his 2nd hundred as an opener off 120 balls. Sri Lanka 175/1.

Dilshan's and Samaraweera's improvement over the past 12-18 months have taken so much pressure of Jayawardene and Sangakkara.

Dilshan and Sangakkara both fall in quick succession trying to hook Zaheer Khan. India back on top now.

SL do have a very weak tail so it is important that their batsmen do score heavily if they are a chance of victory.

Mahela Jayawardene would have to be on the most under-rated batsman in the world and that would be due to the fact that he has been over-shadowed by his team-mate Kumar Sangakkara. The guy has an average of 54 and is fat approaching 9000 runs. He is definitely Sri Lanka's version of Rahul Dravid.

I agree African Monkey. One of the most elegant batsmen to watch in world cricket. His batting seems to have got better and better since he gave up the captaincy.

Prasanna Jayawardene just brought up his century. So pleased for him as he has been criticised so much for his batting.

He is clearly the best wicket keeper in the world, but has been under pressure for his spot from young guns Kaushal Silva and Dinesh Chandimal(both excellent batsmen) due to his poor batting performances.

It is great to see Sri Lanka stick with a genuine wicket keeper.

"The Sri Lankans are the real gentlemen of the game of cricket. They play their game quietly without fanfare, controversies, sledging, pre-match psychology and whatever else. Its just good clean cricket the kind I love. And they are doing very well in the rankings too. Certainly they are setting a good example."

I will agree they're the better behaved of the subcontinental trio, but in between a few of them bowling like CC Sabbathia pitches for the Yankees and Arjuna Ranatunga, I found the comment either funny or nauseating. I like Sangakkara and Jayawardena, but I don't think any team going around at the moment can be said to be real gentlemen.
