:sarcasm: I'd be checking the paks dressing room for brown paper bags. This match was dead in the water after 4 days.

Never a huge fan of pitches that play like that. Sounds like an extreme version of the Adelaide oval. Basically plays like a road and then dissolves into dust. If it was slightly less flat to start with that's a result wicket.

REminds me of the field placing at the start of that infamous 4th day of the 2010 SCG test match.

Signs were there on day 3 from a couple of their fielders

Kamran Akmal in particular was very lethargic and uninterested, even when wickets were falling. Then of course he dropped Hussey 3 times. Even then though they were well in the box seat, until day 4 shenannigans

Australia got belted on this pitch a year ago.

Meanwhile, there's an article on foxsports that questions whether Cook's innings was good for test cricket. What. The. f**k. 264 runs at a S/R of almost 50. A truly great rearguard innings.

And yet they asked a poll "would you like to see an Aussie bat like that?" (You know, to save a test) and 54% said no. What. The. f**kkkkkkk.

Clearly most Aussies would rather see Glenn Maxwell occupy the crease.

The culture and art of test cricket in this country is dying.

Did Shane Warne write the article and set the poll?

Thought Cooks innings was brilliant and well needed. If they continue to dish up decks like that, its good to see touring sides return serve.
