Shame about Misbahs age, he has done a terrific job considering Pakistan lost their best two quicks. He isn't the most attacking captain but he has brought them together well.

I'm amazed how quickly the Paki's have been able to re-build after the spot fixing scandals..

Their talent production line is very impressive..
That there is why I really like the Pakistani cricket side and want them to do well. I think Pakistan could easily be one of the world's top sides and I would love to see them be right up there.

I've always been a Younis Khan fan..

He's been unfairly treated by the Paki board & team a couple of times over the years..But he never threw in the towel..

Plus he had a stint with South Australia..So he like an under dog..

As long as Pakistan get their batting sorted there is no reason why they won't stay competitive. They are a fast bowling paradise and not too bad in the spinner department either.

From the highlights I saw, the Poms had trouble picking the length of his deliveries. Doesn't really matter how much it spins if you mis-judge the length.

yeh, thats what Gower said but I'm not sure

2 balls hit the top of off stump and they tried to cut both of them

I thought they just skidded through because they didn't hit the seam so they didn't bounce

may have misjudged the length but at the end of the day both poor shot selection from 2 nude balls

also the Paki seamers looked average, not much pace or movement, I just cant see how they deserved to bowl the poms out for less than 200 or maybe it was just bad batting

the Pakis dont seem to be having any trouble with the pitch and you'd have to say that England have a much better bowling attack from what I saw

Day 2's play only moments away. Get excited people. These two to put on a stand of over 300 and Mohammad Hafeez to beat his personal highest score

Pakistan have passed 100 without loss. Hafeez has his half century, Taufeeq Umar just reached his 50 as well and Pakistan are currently 104/0 and doing it easily

Hafeez was dropped by Tremlett on 52. In the following ball, England got a breakthrough, Broad took the wicket of Taufeeq Umar for 58.

Pakistan 114/1

I think England have bowled a fair bit better this session than the previous couple. Perhaps they're starting to work this track out a little bit.
