Steyn and Philander are part of what is a pretty good tail...
This pitch is already playing a few tricks, batting last will be hard work on this. Thanks Smith
One of the main reasons they have struggled to beat us since they were reintroduced to world cricket. I remember in the 94 SA tour with the series 1-1 they batted nearly 3 days for 400 runs. Just happy to play for the draw, that is their mindset ultra negative and boring.Batting last is fraught with danger. About 5% of the time you MAY after winning the toss consider bowling first; that would be against a fragile opposition on a green top, assuming to win the game by an innings or 8 wickets at worst. You would expect to have the opposition 8 down by stumps on day 1, and hope to have them all-out.
Knowing the SA mindset, they will already be playing for a draw. And as in ALL cases since their reintroduction, it will back-fire and they will lose
Didn't he take 3 for 7 or something of 7 overs in his first spell???? After they were cruising at 0 for 50 odd, that first spell was as good as anything you will see. Best choke ever one which a lot of those players never recovered fromSky Sports just showed the 1999 World Cup Semi Final in the lunch break.
Pure bliss. How freakin good was Warney.

Boof was dropped from the one day side for a while after that miss.Yep. And later when SA were looking comfortable at about 5/180 he dismissed Kallis with a slower ball.
I forgot about Lehman's missed run out on the penultimate ball of the match.
