Apparently Smith "consulted" with his fast bowlers if SA should bowl first, LOL

Didn't he also leave it to the batsman with 3 wickets left to do what they wanted against india in that drawn first test, when victory was so near, they decided to go for the draw, LOL

How can the bloke have a (c) next to his name when everyone else makes the decisions

too funny :lol::lol:

I remember seeing that on Fox Sports News, half the crowd couldn't work out what was going on, the other half were just giving it to them.

They poked and prodded to be 8 runs short.

With 4 frontline pacemen in the team, how can you possibly justify bringing Duminy on straight after a long break... Wtf Smith?
The commentators thought the quicks were changing ends, then he gets another over and no one says a word

Amazing the free ride that fat smug prick gets from the SA media.

Rhino goes for a handy little 20.

Looks like Smith prepared for this series by asking Alistair Cook for advice.

BTW, a few years back I decided I needed the 1999 World Cup DVD. Couldn;t find it ANYWHERE in Oz but eventually tracked one down from the UK. A great way to brighten any day.

And last ball Steyn belted a 6 as easy as you've ever seen. Gave me another good chuckle.

Not sure if they even released it on DVD, when did DVDs first come out?

I have the VHS of it, and I could it watch it all day. Amazing how we lost 2 in a row, and the odds were against us.

Probaly gifting Peterson a few wickets so we don't have to verse the might of Imran Tahir next match :sarcasm:

Peterson's figures massively flatter him. Just two batsmen going for pure slogs..

Be nice if Tiger Lyon can produce another one of his innings topping knocks..

He's got form doing it in Seth Efrika..

The SA cameramen are pretty gifted. Even when those only 30 people at the ground, they can still get shots of all the glamours.

Siddle goes, a little disappointing after being 4 for 331. But 397 is a good score on this deck. Hopefully we get a bit of cloud cover and the ball starts doing plenty.
