...And so life after Sachin commences. Though Zaheer Khan back for India

3 ODIs and a washed out warm up game is all India had to prepare for the 2 test series, Fully expect SA to thump the Indians

Steyn, Kallis and co will have a field day me thinks

India are going to get thumped, and it's going to be great.

Unfortunately it will be swept under the carpet and talked about as little as possible.
Any dented averages will be made up for with a couple of series at home.

Steyn, Philander and Morkel are a very fine trio of pace bowlers... perhaps the best since the great Windies quartets... My guess is the best in the interim would have been McGrath, Gillespie and Lee - but the Saffers are even better

Haha of course the kiwi thinks they're better, he would say the NZ attack is better

I hope India get towelled up in this series.

If I thought the NZ attack was better, I would say that... FMD you can be an idiot... I said this was the best pace attack since the Windies, and marginally (IMO) better than those Australian ones... obviously the Australian attacks were better overall because of Warne (and McGill)

Not sure why I am bothering with a f**ktard troll TBH

Yeah but Shane Warne was handy.

Philander seems very good but he needs a bit more test cricket before he gets judged properly, like Mike Husseys ridiculous start it helps to come into the side at the absolute peak of your powers, and his record will likely normalise over the next couple of years.

Morkel might've really clicked in the last year or so though, which is scary, considering he was generally just a high potential, player who hadn't really shown a heap in his time. Even then his overall record is nothing special.

Gillespie was a really good bowler as well before injuries caught up. Lee was reasonable at times, had a big chunk of his career from 01-05 when he was largely terrible and his last few tests were dire, bowled quite well in the other sections of his career though.

Yep, as above, I was talking purely pace bowlers... with Warne clearly the Aust attacks were better - Jason Gillespie was a terrifc bowler

Philander is tremendously consistent, I believe his record will remain very good - I'd be surprise if he average went above 25... he's the goods, a bit like McGrath, he makes batsmen play most deliveries, and hits his spots over and over...

There was a period where McGrath, Gillespie and Kasprowicz were the seam attack in tandem with Warne. All four right at their peaks.

I think that was as good as it got for Australia, Stephen Fleming described it as facing three Hadlees.

Basically India is looking like a scape goat or sacrificial lamb in this series

As Apu on the Simpsons would say - "Uh-huh, and if I can obtain to you these items?"
