Kohli the next Sacchin ?

fmd the media like to get carried a way

They already termed him as good as Viv Richards because he broke one of his ODI records.
Which is of course a complete joke, won't even bother to explain why as it would take all day to cover all the reasons.

Spinners got flogged after some stingy bowling by Morkel, 10 maidens from 19 overs. South Africa just ahead if they can get Dhoni out early first session.

and the saffas have demolished them for 280

The Indian tail is almost as abject as England's at the moment with Ishant Sharma, Shami and Zaheer Khan batting at 9,10 and 11

Get the feeling that the pace battery was not quite firing 100% yesterday.
That 280 might be as good as it gets for India from here.

Watching Smith and Amla bat is just plain fun. So much class. 15000 runs and 47 tons between the two of them. Hope they both can get big ones here.

Wow, what a collapse.

Du Plessis and Philander re-building but you'd think one more and they're all-out.

Difference between SA and India's first innings has been Tahir's shitness.

Yep, I really don't understand why teams - at the moment RSA, NZ, and Aust (although NZ and Aust's are better than Tahir) play token spinners for variety when they have a quality 4th paceman available, and a batsmen or two that can provide similarly mediocre spin...

What the heck?

I can understand that smiddy has an ugly looking technique and Amla is slightly unorthodox. But worst techniques in world cricket? Agarkar says hi.

SA 6/213 (after being 6/146)

Am expecting SA to get a lead now, and then skittle India to lead series 1-0

Sharma of all people the standout bowler. He had a flukey day but I really rate Shami. The kid can bowl.Any quick that averages 25 with the ball in first class cricket on Indias roads has talent.

I think he'll enjoy playing in Australia next summer.

Philander saving them with the bat. Looks to be a very even game after 1st innings. Can India do enough in their second dig to put the Saffers under pressure?

You're taking the piss aren't you? Or have you just resorted to saying the opposite of everything I say.

They are two of the best players in the world. 47 tons between them. Maybe they're not as pretty as a M Waugh or a Lara but true Test cricket lovers enjoy watching them bat.

A nice even match at the moment but you the feeling another batting collapse for one of the teams in their second dig is not far away. South Africa might sneak over 300.

In SA's case, a 4th paceman should always be considered, given the amount of quality they have on the sidelines. If they choose a spinner, someone who can hold up one end at around 2.5 - 3 an over would be perfect. Tahir is just absolute rubbish who bowls an average of 2 rank boundary balls an over. Takes all the pressure off. Kerriganesque, yet SA continue to persist with him. Wonder why..

Duminy with his part time spin is a better option than Tahir.

But Robin Peterson is the best option in South Africa.
