LOL bagging out Johnson for not taking wickets.. Well done a new low. We bowled them out for 100 how many overs did Johnson even bowl?? A new low for clueless Parra fans.. Give yourself an uppercut.

he should have done better on that pitch, I could have got wickets on that minefield

not only did he not get wickets, he was our most expensive bowler

no point in being in denial about the facts,

he'll get a chance to redeem himself in the second innings but he wont have punter there to give him his usual rolls royce ride and bowl the tail out, he'll need to earn these and so he should

Harris and Copeland shared one between them

Actually I thought Notch bowled ok, but it was interesting to see Clarke didn't bring him back for his customary bowl at the tail to save his figures.

When you have Copeland and Harris you can afford Notch to be expensive and maybe pick up his customary lucky wicket.

I do think the days of Mitchell as 'Leader of the Pack' are over under Clarke. He'll bowl first change and get as many overs as his work deserve. Bowl well - get more overs, bowl poorly - enjoy your time out at mid wicket.

Copeland looks to be the future anyway. Instant pressure with him.

Match delayed by a wet outfield.

Wish they'd show older matches in these breaks.

How about we go a few "notches" better and play (a fir and inform) Dougy instead?

If we are fair dinkum about starting a new era, he has to be dropped if he isnt consistant enough, which he hasnt been over the past 12-18 months

I think that Johnson opening the bowling should be saved for situations when you need a fast bowler to change the momentum instantly. It was a good move even if it didn't work well in the ashes. But 90% of the time first change is best. I think if Watson bowls well we can afford to keep Johnson in times when he is a little less consistent.
