Can you guys PLEASE keep picking Mitch Marsh?

He's like an extremely poor man's Chris Harris or Mark Ealham.

I hope to see him for the Ashes.

Was actually a pretty exciting test match to watch.. Any time there is contest between bat and ball it's good.

Out of curiosity why is there no snicko or hot spot? If you're gonna have DRS go the whole hog not half way

We lost the game with only scoring 203 in that first dig, we should of score 300 minimum and shut them out of the game.

Very true but also perhaps a bit of credit goes to Mendis, obviously a MOM performance and won it for his team, he seems a great young talent.

Spin still our biggest weakness.

Lets see how Mendis pans out over the next few years (more importantly for SL the next two tests).

Before this test match the bloke averaged under 30 in FC cricket (23 matches), was basically a keeper batsman at domestic level.

Dave Warner has nothing on pitches that offer something to bowlers or just in general against bowlers bowling positively and with confidence. He is the very definition of flat track bully and someone who cashes in against already mentally defeated teams.
Finally, you've said something I agree with. The biggest flat track bully in the world today. I've never seen him deliver a big innings on a bowlers-type track.

For guys like Warner, you have to put him on a horses for courses selection policy. It is a wasted selection to put him on wickets like the last one.

I still disagree that Aaron Gray will play 21 Origins...haha!!!

Nah, can't give the opposition credit! It was all cos we sucked!

The difference was Mendis, it was an awesome knock in a match where one other player got over 50...

I reallymiss the days when Test batsmen would build an innings on a regular basis.

Why does every Aussie batsman feel the need to strike at 75 per 100 balls?

Bring back the days of Langer and Steve Waugh.

f**k T20 for ruining cricket.

I think you're taking a lot of the credit away from the Sri Lankan bowlers. Warner had a shocker, Smith's dismissal in the first innings was awful and Khawaja played a bad shot in the second. Otherwise, there was a lot of good bowling.

You talk about SR and not building an innings, but the only Aussie batsman to strike at over 70 for the match was Khawaja in the second innings. There was certainly an element of mistakenly trying to dominate the bowling in a few of the dismissals, don't get me wrong, but I don't think bad batting had as much influence on the game as good bowling. Sandakan and Herath were outstanding, as was Mendis with the bat, and we shouldn't take anything way from them for that IMO. Burns, Smith, Voges and even Mitch Marsh to an extent were building well in the second innings and were undone by the bowling.

Dear oh dear. Australia threw that one away after being in such a strong position. It appears their batsmen can't play anything that isn't straight.
