4 day "unofficial test"

We had a good win vs Zimbots, but like the Australian XI, the bowlers won us the game, batsman in the main were hopeless

Lets see what happens here. Warner needs a score. What chance the big show getting a test recall if he scores a few and gets a few?

Wouldn't really call it a good win, Zimbabwe are fodder but fell about one good Brendon Taylor innings short of winning themselves. If Australia A including five guys with test experience couldn't put Zimbabwe away then that's just sad.

Hmmmm, interesting. Has he come good at the right time? That's a bloody good pace attack he's against. They all average around 20 at FC level with the ball.

Good to see Darsh sticking to form.

Shame that these conditions will be nothing like what he would face in Old Trafford. But that was the flaw with this whole process of sending him to play for Australia A to begin with.

I reckon Warner was going to come in to test 3 anyway IMO.

Ultimately his test record is pretty decent , and compared to others in the lineup is clearly superior.

Big shows ton devalues Warners IMO.

But still I wouldn't be against bringing in Warner for Smith. We need a longer batting order. We can't afford the luxury of carrying two all arounders. We effectively have two natural number 6's in the top 6.

Warnier in for Smith. Watson to 6.

Got out on the last ball for 193, and with Maxwell fetting a ton, it must be a flat track road, the complete opp to OT

Lords and Trent bridge were pretty flat and our top order still failed. Runs are runs at this stage.
