It is like sucking on a lemon, whichever way we go.
Saying that we need a team, that at least my grandkids can support ,if they so choose, that is domiciled where the club is situated, not just for the next 2 years but the next 50.
Long term gain for short term pain in the a*se.Not that long ago the grim reaper was hanging around the League's club doors.
I don't like it ,the planned move, but like the first time I sucked on the amber liquid, it tasted like hoss piss. Now it's like an old friend.
If some one has a better solution, in addition to telling Sloth to well and truly nick off,I'm all ears.

No one is saying redoing the club is not a good idea.

I just cannot accept the ground needs to be closed for 2 full seasons (2 and a half years) so they can do the works....works that by any account I have seen will leave at least 2/3rds of the ground and surrounds untouched.

They probably be using the actual ground to put all their shit while they build eveyelse.

That’s exactly what I fear this is. Having the ground active is an inconvenience, so rather than work hard to find a solution and put the developers out a bit, it is us and the team that eat this shit sandwich.

I think they said somewhere that they'll still be using the ground for training. Hopefully.

It's going to be a bit weird if we win a premiership without a ground or a Leagues Club to celebrate.

Also, what are they going to do about the officey shit in the downtime?

Don’t think we need to worry about celebrating a premiership in 20 or 21. To win one you need everything to go your way.....playing zilch games at home is not having everything go your way. We are effectively zero chance.

Safety issues and the balls up around the ground with trucks, materials, scaffolding ,heavy lift machinery.Looking at the plan, the P Burns stand is backing on and affected by all this drama. The whole car park is kaput and high rise including the new hotel is right next to where the entry gates will be.And high rise units incorporated with the retail adjoining the club. It's like building a suburb in a small area.
It would be akin to walking around a minefield, unless you worked there. A right royal clusterf*ck.

It's even a drama now going to the club, with the new roundabout being built near Woolooware high and traffic reduced to single lane.I take my wife to the bistro on occasions for some decent tucker.

I'm going to the game this Saturday night, park at Nth Woolooware, and it will be interesting to se how long it takes to get across Cook Drive by foot.
It's not like the residential development on the west side, there is a decent gap with the stormwater area and green belt between that and the ground.
I also dread to think what traffic will be like in the warmer months of March/April.
Anyway that's my rant .

Good to hear a rational voice...

Hopefully the club is better off in the long run.

2 years will fly by. We all waited decades for a GF win and then in the blink of an eye its 3 years ago! It's an inconvenience but we have all been saying for years the joint needs updating. Now its finally happening and people are against it. Ffs.

I doubt anyone is against it Chewie but they are rightfully questioning the reasoning behind the decisions made.

I’d like to know why no games are penciled in for Gosford. Great ground underused in a league mad / starved area. Heaps of sharks supporters on the central coast & beyond. Not too far for those in the shire to travel to a “regional” game.

Are we scared we will become the Central Coast Sharks?

Be good if Morris selects the young blokes, mixed with a few old heads, & turns them into first graders.

We simply have to take advantage of such a good crop of youngsters, the team could benefit for 10 years after.

Leagues club will.

Footy club will save on security & that’s a massive bill judging by the ratio of security to patrons last week.

I'm about to interview Richard Munro regarding all this.

Question- will anyone like Carch put their season seat membership on hold for the 2 year exile? This is important.

The reason I ask is the club is banking on "loyalty to the team and not the ground" and I am less enthusiastic about their prospects.
