Some rich supporter should donate big $ to extend the ET stand.

Could be renamed Ettingshausen / Joe Blow Stand.

Whatever happened to that nice young man that was going to do that 10 years ago, is he still around or did it get deferred?

Well thats ok. The new club is not just a grandstand, it enters into the complex.
So at the end of the day, we have sold everything off, have the same amount of parking, and own the same amount of useable space as previously.
Just need to buy land with the money & not spend it on football.
For what its worth, that amount of money, is less money, than what just 1 of the ten directors of the Roosters is worth.

the 40 million is the lump sum but 16 mil or so will go to the new leagues club refurb
the rest we have to not squander

I thought it was $9.2m for the League's club.$18m in the septic tank for investments. The balance to repay past and ongoing debt. And i have a feeling that may allow for the 2 years we are tearing up the Jubilee grass.

Have a listen to the Sharkcast interview.

Munro claims that the developers essentially pay the Sharks for the right to do it at their pace, which covers the Leagues Club profits for the 2 years.

Correct, we're getting paid to get out of there way.

No doubt us still operating would seriously hamper the construction.

Dear Members,

What a great win by the Sharks last weekend! We are now back on track for the finals but need to overcome the Panthers on Friday night. I hope you can make it out there to cheer the boys.

I wanted to thank you for your feedback on our decision to take our home games away in 2020 and 2021 while the Leagues Club undergoes a major redevelopment.

It is a tough call because everyone – players and fans – loves PointsBet Stadium.

But we are determined to set up the club’s long term future and the best way we can do that is by enabling the builders to get the work done with minimal interruption.

Our skipper, Paul Gallen spoke brilliantly about the project on Channel 9’s 100 per cent Footy where he said the players understood this project will ensure the Sharks are here to stay.

That interview is now up on our website for those interested in the players’ view.

And we are still interested in your views on where we should take our games so please take this final opportunity to email us on members@sharks.com.au

We need to finalise this decision soon so we can inform the NRL before they do the draw for 2020.

In the mean time I want to stress that the Leagues Club is still open for business. In fact, we are putting on some great specials including our popular 2 for 1 Surf and Turf from Sunday to Thursday (commencing Sunday, August 11).

We will soon be organising some information sessions for those with questions about the redevelopment, the closure of the club and the move to new venues in 2020 and 2021.

I know a lot of people have questions about how the closure will affect their memberships, whether you will still get premium seats when we move to a new ground and whether you will get your existing seats back when we return to PointsBet Stadium.

Let me assure you that we intend doing the right thing by anyone who maintains their membership while we are away from PointsBet.

So please stay loyal to us during this challenging period. I assure you it will be worth it !

Thank you again for your support on this issue.

Regards,

Richard Munro

So that’s looking from the northern end down over the club.
Wonder what the buildings are behind the southern stand.

Maybe more apartments.

Geez they’ll be packed in like sardines.

So different to the first design of the retail side.

Massive, massive development!

I wonder what the VW Combi will be serving
Oh the Kombi, that will be Bernard Frenzys Mobile Food Dispatcher. I believe the main menu will include such fine dishes as Marinated Duck Breast and Manning River Mudcrab.

It should be a hoot.

The Cap'n has a bit of the Gordon Ramseys about him you know. He is a tempermental old quigs.
