No matter how other souths fans try spin it, this is going to make our club look incredibly bad.
If it's a case of the guys purposely misusing using prescription drugs then that's a bad look for obvious reasons.
But even if it's a case of accidental misuse its bad. Why weren't the players given proper education on their prescribed drugs? Surely our players are given proper instructions on how to take painkillers, and told that making your own dosages or mixing with energy drinks can be fatal? Or maybe our players are just to stupid to take prescription drugs. Either way it's a huge oversight in our club that has almost led to death of 2 young players.
Even if our players and club are cleared of wrong doing there is going to be lot of judgemental people thinking it's all a cover up especially after the Arizona and Auva'a incidents.
No matter how you try spin it , it's bad for our club and to think we can get away from this unscathed is delusional

The only other drugs that are contraindicated with opiates are other depressents - benzodiazepines, other opiates, alcohol etc. A stimulant like caffeine would counter the effects of opiates if anything. Whqat might have happened is the Red Bull was stalling their Endone high so they kept taking more. The Endone tabs would most likely have been slow-release, so they would have kept being released into the blood long after the the caffeine had worn off. That's why 'speedballing' is so dangerous (injecting heroin and cocaine) - you take too much heroin, the cocaine is the only thing keeping you alive, and once the coke wears off you die of respiratory depression.

Although if they were both vomiting it suggests they just took a f**kload of pills all at once. Vomiting usually happens when people intentionally overdose - i.e. suicide attempt - on pills. Accidental overdoses usually progress by sleep/respiratory depression/death.

I am pretty certain it has adverse effects. I recall a news story whereby kids were stealing codeine tablets and combining them with energy drinks and suffering from fits and cardiac arrests etc.

I'll see if I can find the articles. What you did say sounds logical though regards the mixing of the two.

Nah. Tylenol tablets have caffeine and codeine in them.

Like the way the tv commentators are demanding the NRL should do something. How about personal responsibility and taking self responsibility for not doing dumb sht? Not like we are talking about two 16 year olds kids here.

The way alien's story is going, by next season he'll be claiming he actually stopped supporting Wests Tigers in 2004 and has been a souffs fan the whole time. Turncoat

Just ask him. He never did. He just turned up to Tigers games in Tigers gear and a Tigers season ticket cheering for the tigers, but he was never a real fan.

Just like the lollitohs now, same same...
