What are your feelings about 20/20 cricket?

1. Do you like the game?
2. Have your feelings changed about 20/20 cricket over time?
3. Where does it rank according to other forms of the game?
4. Have cricket got the scheduling right of 20/20?

1. For the first time this year, I've found myself enjoying it.

2. Definitely. I hated the game at first. It has grown on me though. It is hard not to like a slasher in the mould of Warner, Afridi, Schwag etc.

3. (1) Test Cricket...only when Im watching Australia play.
(2) 20/20...I'd never thought I'd say that. When the games are close, it is better than ODI's. Only problem is that 20/20 games more often than not end up in convincing defeats is the team that bats first puts on a good score.
(3) ODI....I still like it. It does not have the excitement of 20/20, nor the discipline of tests.

4. Spot on. We don't want more than two 20/20 matches per summer with international teams.

1. Do you like the game?
Well I like cricket, so yes. Kind of.

2. Have your feelings changed about 20/20 cricket over time?
No, I still can't take it seriously.

3. Where does it rank according to other forms of the game?
Last, behind Tests and ODIs.

4. Have cricket got the scheduling right of 20/20?
No, there's too much of it. And there shouldn't be a WC every two years of that crap.

Yes, not as much as tests, but it beats AFL (not hard)
2. Have your feelings changed about 20/20 cricket over time?
Only were it fits in cricket
3. Where does it rank according to other forms of the game?
It is limited overs, will kill the 50 over stuff.
4. Have cricket got the scheduling right of 20/20?

1. Yes
2. No.
3. Behind Tests and ODI's as a game of cricket. As a spectacle it would be number one. Richie sums it up best - Parents take their kids to Test matches, kids take their parents to 20/20's.
4. Not yet.

1. Do you like the game?
Yes. I find it extremely entertaining to watch batsmen just go for their life. The best part about it being that when batsmen see what they can do with a bit of freedom in these games it tends to lead to much more entertaining ODI matches. The average total for an ODI has gone up substantially because of 20/20 cricket.

2. Have your feelings changed about 20/20 cricket over time?
Not really. I always saw it as a bit of hit and giggle, and honestly thats all it is to me now. Its far to random to ever be considered a true competition.

3. Where does it rank according to other forms of the game?
Not even in the same league as Test cricket in my books. Catching up to ODIs I suppose, but then again I still think that 20 overs is nowhere near enough time to let the true skill to shine through.

4. Have cricket got the scheduling right of 20/20?
I don't know honestly. Having a couple games as a warm up to the ODI series is a good idea. A World cup every 2 years seems a bit stupid, but other than that its a massive money spinner for the code so I have no problems with them wanting to increase the amount of games played, even if it sacrifices a few ODIs.

Do you like the game? Yeah I like it. Short and sweet with plenty of action.
Have your feelings changed about 20/20 cricket over time? No not really. Always expected it to be a success.
Where does it rank according to other forms of the game? It has already replaced the 50 over game as the #2 version of the game. Within 10 years it would have replaced 4/5 day cricket as #1. In about 20 or 30 years from now 20/20 will be one of the most dominate sports in the world.
Have cricket got the scheduling right of 20/20? Right now they have. But given time and expansion of the game I expect the scheduling will change. With more games being played.

1. Yes

2. At first I loved it and then got bored with the T20 World Cup (which is still a stupid concept) but now I've gotten into the occasional game.

3. Behind Tests and ODIs.

4. ICC = no. CA = yes

1. Do you like the game?

At the moment, no. Sometimes I get the feeling that they may as well replace the bowler with a bowling machine and whoever hits the ball out of the ground the most wins.

2. Have your feelings changed about 20/20 cricket over time?

I am, very slowly, warming to the game. Can't deny the excitement it creates plus bringing more people to the game can only be a good thing.

3. Where does it rank according to other forms of the game?
Last, behind tests and ODIs.

4. Have cricket got the scheduling right of 20/20?
Yes.

1. I'm finding myself enjoying it, particularly seeing the batsmen change minds in how they play their innings.

2. Yes, although I started watching the IPL (I went for Dehli last year mainly thanks to McGrath and Sehwag but now am excited to see Warner playing for them) and found more of an interest. Although, like the World Cup, it does loose excitement half-way through most times, but still good to watch.

3. Even though I like it, it's no where near the standard of test cricket. The endurance of making a hard earned century excites me more than a quick fire fifty with a few shots.

4. Yep, I like the few international ones and the IPL, I'm finding myself enjoying it.

It just doesn't do it for me, unless it comes down to the final over and they need like 18 to win.

Other than that its trying to be something cricket is not and doesnt need to be.. I still love me some 50 ODI Day Nighters especially when spending the arvo & evening at the pub on da beers.

I disagree with that. Crowds may be bigger for Twenty20 matches, but, let's just say I think players would prefer to win the actual World Cup than the Twenty20 one.

The people are voting with thier feet.

Tens of thousands are showing up to state games. This never happened with the 50 over stuff.

Have not been to one myself, but administrators in each state will love the pulling power and revenue that 20/20 gives them.

The 50 over game may survive as the WC has tradition, but I can see a day in say 20 years where is not played. Just tests and 20/20.

1. I quite like the game, then again that may be helped by the facts the Vics are no1 in the world .

2. Only now that the Domestic game is becoming more important I see it as something I want to see the Vics winning but at International level its still just a warmup game to me

3. Dead last at International level, at state level equal with the 50 over stuff

4. Yes, although the IPL is threatening to ruin it. Should be a domestic cricket showpiece with 1-2 a season against the touring sides . Playing 2 against 1 side should only be reserved for big teams, none of this crap where the Kiwis and Windies are playing 2

1-No.

2-Yes. I like it less with each passing day.

3-Somewhere behind the Zimbabwean domestic first class scene.

4-I can handle it as it is now. But the growing weight of international competitions concerns me.

you call that a contest?

you call scoring at 10 an over a contest between bat and ball?

two balls out of 120 doesn't equate to a contest

batsmen getting out caught at deep cover doesn't make a contest

twenty20 is not a contest and neither was last night
