Some more of that pro rugby league attitude we're all used to.

I'm certain that if I went through your posts, I would find comments from you saying the ARLC isn't ambitious enough.

Troll on.

Do you really think you can turn a 22/23 year old college graduating American football player into a first grade nrl player In 1-2years?
How many do you think you’d need to get into a system for it to produce anything more than one or two?
Do you think its an effective and most efficient way to spend player development funding?
do you think college players who are graduating with degrees are likely to put their careers in other professions on hold for a one In a thousand shot at earning $300k in the nrl?

but hey maybe I’m just being pessimistic, or maybe this is just yet more headline grabbing bs from our illustrious leader that will go nowhere?

That's alot of words to dodge the point of you trolling. It's actually impressive how long you've done it for.

It is probably better to look at things like Rugby Sevens to be honest.
It’d be better to look at RL players in nz, Australia and PNG lol all the time states are only getting $700k and nz rl gets less than $1million from arlc for grassroots we are missing out on developing players in our own back yard.
But yeh some wide receiver in Texas is a sure fire nrl star in the making!

I agree but I was comparing the likelihood of a convert succeeding. I think it would be a lot easier to get a bloke from Rugby Sevens than a bloke from College Gridiron.

With the latest expansion going 2 from 2. Packed out grounds and tight games and record viewers! It's suggested that we're going to 20 teams sooner rather than later!
Has there been a more optimistic time in our game?

I've said this before but game feels bigger than it has been in a long time. Saw so many tigers jerseys around the place today

No doubt about it, nrl could very easily set up jnr systems that would attract the top union kids at 16 to RL instead of RU. Instead they are closing them down and talking sht about college football players.

So let's unpack your latest optimism.
Firstly they aren't 1000 to 1. These are premium athletes at their physical peak in the best training facilities in the world, at the cutting edge of sport science .
Our 2 biggest stars went there just to tap into their science around recovery.
These are the biggest, fastest, most agile, strongest... the best f**king athletes in the world! You think..1000 to 1 🤔🤦‍♂️
And 1 to 2 years? ... yeah ! Outside of 6 and 7 what makes our game so good is it isn't complicated!!!
An already pro athlete learning 1 one the most basic sports is easy!
They play 1 of the most complicated, they will find it easy.

The next thing is, it isn't just players he's talking about. A couple of players that made a small impact at a college level trying their hands down under at a collision sports will spark interest from fans and broadcasters in the US .
Do you remember how many Australians turned in to watch Hayne?? Btm making the switch the other way- more complicated sport... at a later age .. and making it to the NFL.
Thank god we have PVD , otherwise we'd be stuck with some narrow minded Muppet.

Easily could just set up open trials in each state. Give Australian clubs a 2 million dollar cap allowance for US signings.
College is coming to an end and there's no NFL offer on the table. You have a useless degree and no clear prospects for a meaningful career- most college graduates!
There's a trial for a contract to play a new sport in Australia..
Does anyone not see how attractive/ exciting that opportunity would be?
