Posted on the Eels site is this wonderful little peace of dribble.

"Released at the opening day of the NRL Annual conference, the 2004 draw features an improved State of Origin schedule for players, a full scale City v Country match and an array of marquee games."

Can any body please inform us poor dumb country folk on what is a marquee game.

Are they going to play in a tent ?

You hit the nail on the head Twiz.

Marquee games are a poor man's covered stadium. However, the marquee will include streamers and balloons, a crap band playing 70's covers, a whole heap of people dressed in penquin suits and plunging necklines doing the Nutbush City Limit and Time Warp, and pimply faced teenagers handing out little slices of fruit cake at the completion of the match.
Sure beats the entertainment they subject us to these days. ;-)

I reckon everyone should remember that at the beginning of last season no-one thought Penrith would be a hard game. It is hard to say what will be hard and what wont be.
